Editorial Reviews

Hollywood Bloopers of The 30s and 40s-black and white-approximately 70 minutes of rare Hollywood movie bloopers from the 1930s and 1940s! See Ronald Reagan struggling to put on his pants, Jimmy Stewart caught off guard, Humphrey Bogart mess up his line, and dozens of other famous stars! Yes, you'll see movie legends and icons proving they're only human as they make hilarious mistakes caught during the filming of those early classics. A must! Niagara Falls-1941-black and white-approximately 41 minutes-This charming comedy romp has Zasu Pitts and Slim Summerville as an elderly pair of newlyweds at a hotel in Niagara Falls. Enter Margie and Tom, a young couple who were strangers until they met on the road to repair Margie's flat tire. But Margie and Tom soon have a fight and want nothing to do with each other. However, fate creates a variety of coincidences that forces them to stay at the same hotel. Slim's character, Sam Sawyer, is a little intimidated about his impending wedding night, so he avoids it by trying to make Tom and Margie, whom he assumes are newlyweds, patch up their differences.

It's difficult enough to imagine Ronald Reagan as an actor, but an actor who flubs his lines and then mutters g** damn, well that's really too priceless. Watch the greats like Bogart and Bette Davis screw up royal. Nowaday, gag reels are common, but back in the 30s and 40s, viewers seldom got to see bloopers. This collection is quite amusing. See Basil Rathbone testing hat after hat for the film clasic Robin Hood. See Edward G. Robinson blow his lines, it's great.
Niagara Falls is a cute movie. At about 40 minutes, it's too short to be a feature length movie, but to long to be considered a short. Zasu Pitts stars as a late life new bride on her honeymoon. Her husband however shows more of an interest in helping a young couple than consumating his marriage. It's sort of an early sex farce. It's cute and funny. There is also a short called "overs and Outs" which shows some bloopers made by a 1960s industrial film company. Interesting

This is an artful way of the producers of this 'thing' to part with your money to them.
You had better know your old stars because not only are you not told the movie but you are not told the star. After 10 minutes of these one line mistakes, and one swear word, you can start watching old "B" movies with '2nd' rate actors of the 30s. These movies are out of the public domain. There are 4 or 5 of them, and unless you like real junk you will turn it off................
Don't get ripped off like I did.
