Very candid and warm. Don't let the phrase talking heads turn you off..this bio is loaded with Mitchum film scenes, and the people who are doing the talking are fascinating...Polly Bergen, Deborah Karr, SarahMiles.. lots of Mitchum talking, included his brother and son...and Mitchum's directors are in on this too. A real pleasure is watching Mitchum doing imitations of David Lean and others, and Sarah Miles doing imitations of Mitchum and Lean. You really don't want it to end. You may wonder how Robert ever chose those huge eyeglasses he sports later in life, though. Gigantic nonsexual frames upon his face that seem to make no sense at all. You want to read a great bio, then find Baby, I Just Don't Care...a marvelous Mitchum with of course much more of the good stuff. I'm surprised they could not get Shirley MacLaine for an interview....the book has very revealing stories about the two of them...You'd think working with Mitchum would be intimidating just because of his physicality, but when you watch him learn 4 pages of dialogue in 2 minutes....then you know you're in for it.

Great biography of a wonderful actor. It was great to see parts of his performances through the years. The interviews with him and his movie colleagues were fascinating. He had a tough life growing up. As an actor he seemed to be the character on the screen, not someone trying to impersonate another. I also liked the way he managed to get coffee provided for not just himself, but the whole crew! Definitely worth watching.

For movie fans and fans of Mitchum, one of Hollywood's greatest actors, though not always recognized as such, this is fun to watch. There is more to Mitchem than he wants to show, but is shows, in one way, through the testimomy of others.

This video is a primer on Mr. Cool. Very basic, but within it contains interviews with costars and Mitch & Dorothy's son Chris Mitchum. RIP Mitch. Much Love.

This a very good Movie about actor Robert Mitchum. As related in the Movie he was an amazing actor who was greatly admired by all his peers and Movie Directors. I watched it because I had just completed "Winds of War" and War and Remembrance". He starred in both of them and was great as Pug Henry.

Basic overview of Mitchum life and times. Would have better without the large gaps between films.
