The New Buddy Holly,
By Bill MInarik (Glendale, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hollywood (Audio CD)
After hearing Danny's CD, I am convinced that he is the best gift Texas has given L.A. since Bobby Fuller. Danny has been able to produce a hot new Power Pop sound which incorporates old-school values such as being simple, EZ to get into, and EZ to UNDERSTAND. This type of music will have you dancin in place or just boppin in your seat if you are in your car. Plenty of energy that never stops or slows down. But "Hollywood" is far more than just a concept sound. It's an album with at least 3 platinum singles. "To Be Alone" will have you pushing the repeat button on you car CD player as will "The Fifth". The monster hit however, is the new theme song from the Osbourne show titled "If Ozzy Was My Dad (That Would Rock)". This rocker has more hooks than a Louisiana fly fisherman and is currently in rotation all over the country. It will soon be a music video on MTV. People have been asking, when are we going to hear something other than the crappy music they're feeding us these days and get back to some good ol rock and roll. Well people, its here. Danny Blitz is the blond Elvis with the music to match. If you want to hear what the entire West Coast has been buzzing about, order this album now. Its the best rock music you will ever want to hear.

Danny Blitz is a Rock'N Roll God!,

This album is amazing! I've never been a big fan of the whole rock-a-billy sound, but this album is pretty impressive. Both my wife and I were totally taken by surprise when we listened to this album in it's entirety. Even our 3 year old loves Danny Blitz! I'm just totally sick to death of bad rock bands that imitate each other and have no concept of originality...but Danny Blitz is fresh and on fire! I would recommend this album to anybody that claims to love rock'n roll! You won't be disappointed

Danny Blitz - what rock and roll is all about,
By David in Cville (Virginia) - See all my reviews

Danny Blitz "Hollywood" CD is a wild ride that rocks. This guy can rock out play guitar and sing. This CD is manhood on full audio display!!! Frenetic energy with an attitude. You need this CD!!! The hit song "If Ozzy were my Dad that would rock" is great as you may have heard on MTV. Danny's guitar work is tremendous in his own style. Plus he slips into a mini Black Sabbath homage excerpt that is TRUE. All the songs are solid. this was not just slapped together to package with the "Ozzy" single. Buy it!!!! Plus a Danny Blitz show LIVE is indescribable. See him at Whiskey-A-GO-GO in LA! See him in your hometown!! You will see charisma and the power of a star true to his art!!!

Balls to the Wall!,

Hollywood kicks ... for being a pedal to the metal, high voltage kick in the balls! Buy the album, it will make your day no matter what type of stuff you've been through! Bettie Mae is, in my humble opinion, the best track on the album, but thats not to say that the rest of the tracks aren't good!

Buckle your seat belts because you're in for a wild ride. After hearing this, I'm conviced the best music is coming from fresh new artists like Danny Blitz. The title track "Hollywood" gets you started with a driving edge and incredibly smart lyrics. "To Be Alone" needs to be in a television ad that sells high end automobiles...it's that good. I can imagine everyone's favorite song on the CD is "If Ozzy Was My Dad". It's clever and the music kicks butt...! Check out the guitar solo and the drums in this one, it rocks! My favorite song on the record is "Leavin' Texas". The power of the double time drum beat is incredible...the drummer in this band kicks butt... bigtime!Buy it now!!!

Rock that really ROCKS!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Hollywood (Audio CD)
What an awesome album! Every single song is smart, funny, and a ROCKIN' good time - not a "B side" sleeper in the bunch! It's got everything from the philosophical "To Be Alone" to the rockabilly-tinged "Leavin' Texas" to that catchy tune I keep hearing on the radio - "If Ozzy Was My Dad (That Would Rock!)." If you're only going to buy one record, for yourself or as a Christmas present, this is IT!
