5.0 out of 5 stars Lost Weight and Great Cookie
I've been doing the Cookie Diet now for two weeks and I've lost 5 pounds. I only have 5 more to go. I was having trouble losing the last 10 pounds so thought I'd do something different from weight watchers. This is doing the trick and I love it. I'm never hungrey. 5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Diet, October 29, 2007
This review is from: Hollywood Cookie Diet Meal Replacement Cookies, Chocolate Chip, 1.4-Ounce Cookies (Pack of 12) (Health and Beauty)
I recently started this diet and although it's probably not for everyone; I really like it and it works with my lifestyle. I only think about food once a day and that's to prepare a healthly, flavorful and pre-planned dinner every day. The other diets have you thinking about food all day and this one is easy. A big downfall is if you let yourself get too hungry before you eat the cookie; it should be eaten in a timely manner, i.e. every 3-4 hours. I don't however limit my dinner to 500 calories because to me it would be a dramatic very low calorie diet which doesn't work with my body. The cookies provide 600 daily calories and so I prepare my dinner with 600-800 calories which makes it safer and I lose slower (2-3 pounds weekly). I have been trying to lose weight for years and I believe that I have finally found my niche. I lost 12 pounds in one month and I haven't lost that much weight on a diet ever.

2.0 out of 5 stars It works but..., June 22, 2008
This review is from: Hollywood Cookie Diet Meal Replacement Cookies, Chocolate Chip, 1.4-Ounce Cookies (Pack of 12) (Health and Beauty)
This diet does work but there are a few issues with it. I tried it just to lose about 8 pounds that I needed to lose to meet a requirement. I would never have tried it but I had to lose weight quickly.

First off if your actually thinking of trying this you have to know that this is NOT a diet that anyone can actually stick with. This should be used for a quick very small weight loss goal, I would say 10 pounds or less.

Pro's
1. Fiber & Protein, that basically all your getting.

2. Low calorie

3. They are cookies, how bad can they be.

4. Quick loss, if you follow the plan.

Con's
1. Cost! the price is ridiculous 12 cookies for $20.00 come on who are you kidding? They are a rip-off!

2. Sustainability. There is no way that this is going to teach you how to change your eating habits and you can't follow this diet forever it's a fad.

3. Taste... There not that bad but they do kinda taste like an old stale grandmas cookie.

4. Variety.. You only have a few kinds to choose from making the sustainability factor that much worse.

5. Did I mention price? Seriously they are a Rip-Off!! They should be at the $5.00 a box range but since this is a "Weight Loss" product they get the people that are looking for any easy solution.

My recommendation is if you need a very small quick loss in a very short time you might want to try this. However if you are looking for something that is going to tackle a serious weight issue seek a dietitian not this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hollywood Cookie Diet Cookies, May 18, 2007

(REAL NAME)
I think these cookies are good. I eat one for breakfast with a cup of green tea, and I am not hungry until lunch. I will have the same thing for lunch too. I have a light dinner and than I'll have another cookie for a snack around 10pm. I think these cookies taste pretty good. They are soft and chewy and very satifying. I take one along with me when I go out shopping, just in case I get hungry. I have reordered them three times now. My 14 year old daughter likes them also. I like the Oatmeal Raisin the best. The Chocolate chip is good. I'm not real crazy about the Lemon.

2.0 out of 5 stars My humble opinion..., January 17, 2008

Well I bought both the chocolate chip and the oatmeal raisin. I can tolerate the chocolate chip, it's the only flavor I can stand. It's a dry, unappetizing cookies, BUT it does do the trick, I'm not hungry. I eat one for breakfast, lunch, and mid afternoon snack and a small meal of mostly protein. I have lost weight (10 pounds) in about 2 months. I DO NOT recommend the oatmeal raisin. I think it tastes absolutely vile. I had to spit out the one I had, kinda bummed as I have a full box just sitting on my counter. Overall it does the trick, it's not an amazing tasting cookie, remember that, but it gets you through the day without starving. Remember to drink a lot of water with it. But stay away from the oatmeal (YUCK!)

5.0 out of 5 stars IF YOUR ISSUES are binging from 11am-4pm.. this IS FOR YOU!!!, January 26, 2010
This review is from: Hollywood Cookie Diet Meal Replacement Cookies, Chocolate Chip, 1.4-Ounce Cookies (Pack of 12) (Health and Beauty)

Found these at the walgreens counter. AND by the way, each box comes with a 2.00 off coupon inside toward the NEXT box,. and at walgreens, when you buy 1 box of cookies, you get a FREE 32 OZ. miracle hollywood diet 2 day diet juice,. So.. dollar for dollar this is costing you alot less (if you keep the juice or sell it whatever).
So... MY deal was.. not a huge weight loss..but like everyone.. those 5 -10 pounds that just seem to appear after you have a weekend binge! I"m tired of them!
I know its a calorie issue. I KNOW my issue is 11-4 at my computer~~ And I didn't even KNOW I was doing it until I forgot to put a trash bag liner in my computer room... so all of my snack wrappers were sitting in the trashcan...so I had to transfer all the contents to a liner bag..and I'm like "WHO IN THE HECK ATE THESE DORITOS? WHO AT THIS BAG of pretzels?"
Answer: Me.

So now I had these cookies.. and a plan... And let me tell you.. It worked. I found myself also..NOT being able to shovel the last cookie in!!

If you want to eat a very sensible, dark green salad at noon..you can. You can eat a tangerine, or an apple or 2 APPLES.. this diet doesn't TRULY mean you have to co exist on cookies..
But they are the more sensible snack.. and they DO taste good.. the chocolate chip does anyway....

I found myself SO RELIEVED having them in my purse...where if I got this HARD HUNGER PAIN.. I had it, ready to go.. AND THEN you tell yourself... if I still am not full, I can eat another..

Do this for 2 weeks...and you'll see 5 pounds gone~! I think I'm up to 8 pounds...

I enjoy this. I also find myself REALLY STOKED at dinner time.. I plan it like I'm a chef! Broccoli, chicken breast, little side salad.... I'm not counting calories. I know that what I'm eating is NOT over 600 calories...

The thing is it got me OFF the snicky-snacking,. and these cookies are an excellent replacement for those of us who sleep-snack during the day~!

1.0 out of 5 stars I suppose this is proof desperate people will buy anything., November 1, 2010
This review is from: Hollywood Cookie Diet Meal Replacement Cookies, Chocolate Chip, 1.4-Ounce Cookies (Pack of 12) (Health and Beauty)
My friend came lugging a box of these home a few nights ago. She proudly threw them in my lap and announced she was "dieting." I sort of laughed they way I do with most fad diets. These cookies are not magical, miracle working treats. Just a 150 calorie cookie. It suggest you eat 4 per day in place of all meals and snacks except for dinner. The box suggests a sensible dinner. After all "when hunger strikes diets fail." 150*4=600 So unless you eat a few Big Macs for dinner its probably safe to say your caloric intake is going to be around 1000 for the day. So at this point I would like to state the obvious, of course you are losing weight quickly! However there is no way you will keep off that weight and you are depriving your body of much needed vitamins and mineral. You can eat ice cream 4 times a day and lose weight too.

Pros: Tasty cookie for most meals, packing your lunch for work is easier than ever before, you do actually lose weight.
Cons: Extreme calorie deprivation, moodiness(probably something to do with not eating regular meals), as soon as you start eating anything the resembles actual balanced meals you will regain weight, maybe its just me but eating 4 cookies a day seven days a week for at least two weeks at twenty dollars a box well that just seems a little expensive. About $100.00 for a two week supply.

My bottom line: Unless these are laced with phen-phen I would probably just buy an ordinary box of cookies. I'm sure it will produce the same results. Not to mention with the $75.00 you just saved you can afford a decent diet book that encourages cooking and enjoying your meals.

4.0 out of 5 stars Chocolate Chip are Great! Oatmeal not bad with Coffee!, January 18, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I'm on the run and I use these as a snack during the day. I've tried the Chocolate Chip Cookies, and they're really good! Not like you're Grandmother's Homemade treats of course, but still decent nonetheless. The Oatmeal Raisin is a little less tasty......Pretty good dipped in coffee, but otherwise not my favorite. I do like Oatmeal cookies and bars, but either the fiber or some other nutrient is overpowering in this cookie. It tastes more like a "healthy" nutrient bar. I'd give these a distant 2nd to the Chocolate Chip!

I have beein doing this diet for two weeks and am impressed with the weight loss. I can get a bit hungry between cookies, but I'm fine if I drink water, coffee, or tea when that happens. The main reason I like this diet is the cookies are SO Yummy! It does not taste like a diet food at all.
