5.0 out of 5 stars BACK TO BUSINESS
IF You be a wantin' the Sham 69 of '77 ( the "Borstal Breakout days ) or of the "Hersham Boys" album, then "HOLLYWOOD HERO" is just what you've been waitin' for. No Jimmy Pursey? Thank God For That -- New vocalist Tim V., along with Dave Parsons on BUZZSAW guitar, will take you on a journey to the past - back to their SIRE RECORDS daze ( Sire was their US label)...

2.0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware
Musically this is mediocre and no comparison to their big 4 albums of the '70s. The real problem is... NO JIMMY PURSEY. This is Dave Parson's (guitar) version of Sham and it does not hold a candle. You're better off checking out Pursey's new band Day 21, although they are fairly generic street rock themselves. Sorry Jimmy. Back to Dave Parson's Sham. My suggestion... hire...

That famous Sham "growl" is back, and "ASBO SPORTS DAY" will absolutely drive ya up the wall. This album completes that recorded triology of Sham 69.
Buy it (don't even waste your time sampling it first ----- it's That Good ! ), yes buy it and put it next to "Tell Us the Truth" and "The Adventures of The HERSHAM BOYS"
"Bite The Bullet", "I Want Glory", and "Here Come the Lies" will set you free. HERE IS THAT "NEXT" GREAT SHAM 69 CD YOU ALL BEEN WAITIN' FOR.

IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT (Kingston, PA)
