From Hollywood With Love, October 26, 2000
This review is from: From Hollywood With Love (Hardcover)
This is a wonderful account of the early beginnings of a young, silent film actress. Since reading this autobiography, I've become more intrigued with Hollywood in the 1920's, and It's role in creating the whole flapper lifestyle and dress. I loved it! Bessie Love is a fascinating person to read about.

A slim and entertaining volume, August 22, 2007
This review is from: From Hollywood With Love (Hardcover)
This was a very quick read but an immensely entertaining one - I could feel Bessie's exuberance fly off the pages. Her start among the pioneers of cinema, including Griffith, Pickford and Barthelmess, is incredibly engaging. She is also unflinching about the difficulties of life as an older actress, traveling for stage performances and small roles in big films. Fascinating lady and someone I would have loved to know.
