Good Guys Rule!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Hollywood! Must Be Destroyed (Paperback)
Finally, someone puts Hollywood in its place! This book correctly illustrates how a bunch of weirdoes in Hollywood do NOT control the world. Normal, God fearing people win out in the end. It is very refreshing and tremendously funny. I loved reading this book!I recommend this book to any American who wants to move to France.

THIS IS A STORY THAT NEEDED TO BE TOLD AND DANIEL WADE SCHRODERTOLD IT PERFECTLY. YOU CAN TELL THAT HE DID MUCH RESEARCH ON THIS BOOK. YOU FIND YOURSELF CLAPPING FOR THE HERO'S AND BOOING THE "BAD GUYS". IT HAS SOME OF THE FUNNIEST DIALOGUE I HAVE EVER READ AND SOME OF THE MOST SERIOUS. KIDDO'S TO MR. SCHRODER AND AM LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR NEXT BOOK.

Wry and witty,
This review is from: Hollywood! Must Be Destroyed (Paperback)
With a title and cover like this one, who could resist? "Hollywood! Must Be Destroyed" is an nice book, aptly describing events into the strange place we call "Hollywood."Put simply, it's about a young investment banker from Newww Yawk who comes to a Hollywood studio, and ends up winding his way through the bizarre ways of the people who work there. The prose is a bit sparse, but is littered throughout with lines like "Enough of me talking about me, why don't you talk about me for a while?" In different settings it might be groanworthy, but in these circumstances it works pretty well. The cover looks a bit grainy, but has the pleasant view of Hollywood letters underscored by "must be" and then a fiery "DESTROYED," as well as a rather stiff-looking guy in a suit, and a babe in a rather tight, small dress. A nice book if you're in the mood for light and kinda lampoony.

Really Funny Book,

This review is from: Hollywood! Must Be Destroyed (Paperback)
Having some experience in the movie industry (bit actor/producer)I was pleasantly surprised by how close this came to some of my own experiences. I must admit I laughed out loud at various times as I read the book. It is about a couple of investment bankers sent to Hollywood by their firm to see what happened to some money they raised for a studio. The adventures and kooks these guys meet are hilarious, and it isn't too hard to figure out who is being parodied. This book was seemingly written from a political perspective totally at odds with Hollywood, and it is quite refreshing. I found it funny, although a little too short.

I read this book because the author is my friend. It was a funny spoof on the Hollywood elite and the culture in the movie industry. Good characters and funny lampooning of real life stars. I felt it ended too fast, and that making it longer would have made it better. But if you want to laugh, and you are bothered by the radical edge in Hollywood, you will enjoy this book. If you are part of the radical left in Tinseltown, you will not find any humor in this book, but I think the idea is to laugh with you, not at you!
