This is an altogether too brief review of the great performers who graced the stage at The Hollywood Palace during this TV show's 7 year run. The TV special is hosted by Bing Crosby. Although the performances are great and we are treated to some funny outtakes and bloopers, this video review is just too short. The clips are often as short as 30 or 45 seconds and thus the TV show on this tape seems hurried. The video quality is surprisingly poor for a 1970 TV show; the lighting could have been better at least for the scenes with Bing that I assume were taped in 1969 or 1970! The sound quality is perfectly fine, however. In short, I recommend this video either for complete beginners who wish primarily to have a brief introduction to general vaudeville types of acts or for those die hard fans who yearn for a nostalgic view of The Palace performers in a brief 52 minute time span. A great introduction or review; but I didn't learn as much as I wanted to learn. Better luck next time!

This is going to be one of my harshest reviews of a product on Amazon.

I was rather stunned to discover that this is nothing more than the proverbial home-made tape recording. Horrible black-and-white quality, no better than a poor kinescope. There is no packaging, no copyright, no professional labels, nothing. This is a 5-dollar tape with 33+-dollar price tag. The word "screw" comes to mind. Avoid buying this product.

I have submitted a complaint to Amazon about this product. Again, it's not in color, it's a home-made video, and it is not an ABC-TV studio product (unless ABC changed its name to Mad Phat).
