If you look at this guy's previous books you'll find that he is an occult UFO writer. I havent read any of his works; they range in price from $50 to $1000+ (also weird), but whats more strange to me is that this L. Ron. Hubbard'esque writer is now writing about hollywood scandal and charging $300 per book!!
Stranger still, if you look at the review history of the people reviewing it you will see that for the most part they are his strange alien occult followers. Also, they have been all over Amazon leaving reviews on other books in this genre that attempt to convince the reader to buy the book from their supreme leader instead. I find it pretty dishonest and just....weird.

I always love to read books about celebrities, especially scandalous ones. This book has it all, great stories, even better pictures. The only reason I can not give this book five stars is because of the numerous misspellings, (i counted three in the first couple of pages). Actors, directors, etc. names have glaring errors, i.e. Virginia Rapp(e), Frank Cap(a)ra. It was distracting and took my mind away from the wonderful stories.

Hugely prolific author Maximillien de Lafayette has done it again with another brilliant and EXPLOSIVE chronicle of the many unfortunate souls -- past and present -- who have lost their dreams in that stinking, snake-infested cesspool we know as Hollywood. Mr. de Lafayette's commentary is never anything less than razor sharp as he analyzes and dissects what makes so many performers that are blessed with formidable talent, good looks, and personal riches, willingly give up their bodies and minds to the devil. The author does not suffer fools gladly, and he often cuts these individuals very little (if any) slack, which is understandable, since so many of them continue to foolishly throw away the kind of golden opportunities the rest of us can only dream about.

The book's most well-known progenitor, Kenneth Anger's legendary "Hollywood Babylon", was magnificently shocking and hard-hitting in its day, and this book more than matches its power and brilliance.

With "Hollywood Earth Shattering Scandals...", Maximillien de Lafayette takes his readers on a breathtaking ride down Hollywood's darkest and most dangerous streets, and it is a ride I won't soon forget! A superb and impeccable effort from one of the industry's most premier annalists.

Taking readers on a dizzying journey into the bedrooms and bank accounts of Tinseltown, Max provides an astonishing glimpse into what makes the rich and famous tick -- among other behaviors. If you want a glorious read that you just can't put down, get this book. And while you're at it, get some of his other works, he is an amazing writer.
