If you enjoy reading about sex, cheating spouses, drug abusers, a cast of characters with no depth and a plot that just doesn't add up, then this is the novel for you. If you're like me, you will not enjoy this novel as much as the first Hollywood Wives, there is not much of anything here to enjoy. I just couldn't get a feel for any of the characters. It's amazing how Ms. Collins ties up the story in a neat little package when in fact the story just doesn't make any sense. I've been reading Ms. Collins' work for a long time and this has been the most lacking one to date --- but decide for yourselves!!!

Oh my gosh! Hollywood Wives the New Generation was my first Jackie Collins book, and what a way to hook me in! I usually don't read romance novels but I just couldn't put this one down. The characters were more outlandish and scandalous than I ever could imagine but it was fun to get caught up in the lives of Lissa, Nicci, Gregg, and the rest of the crew. The book was yummy and definitely not my last Jackie Collins book. I am going to read all of them, I only hope they can live up to Hollywood Wives!

This was my first Jackie Collins book. I thought it moved quickly and I really enjoyed the characters. Take it from an avid reader; this story was really escalating until all of a sudden it's as if Ms. Collins just got tired of her own story. As you were expecting the climax of the plot it ended in a page; with a ridiculous epilogue of the demise of each character. ELEMENTARY!! It was an insult. I doubt I'll be reading another anytime soon!!

This is the first Jackie Collins book that I have read in at least 5 years. It has been a long time and I can see what I have been missing. It was a quick, easy read and even though there is a little bit over 500 pages, I polished it off very quickly. I devoured the juicy details of the Hollywood lives that are depicted in this book. It was a definite page turner and I felt that Collins really brought the characters to life. At first, I was a little bit unsure if I would like the characters. But after awhile I felt myself sympathizing with almost all of them in some form or another. I am generally not attracted to this genre, but I must say that Jackie is a winner. I am once again hooked by her writing style and can't wait to reread the first one. This book will take you to LA behind the scences and take you to places that you usually only see in the movies!

The title says it all! I wish Jackie Collins could write faster! Her books are all a wonderful escape from reality.

I'm always up for a good beach read, but this was really too much. It was so absolutely cardboard, boring, patently ridiculous that I couldn't even believe it. What a waste of time. If you want to read a light bit of fluff pick up Danielle Steel or Sidney Sheldon instead. This is awful.

A True Hollywood Story,

Only Jackie Collins can get away with mixing Romance, Adventure and a Psychotic killer into a great book. The book started off slow but after awhile it picked up and I could not put the book down. I have always enjoyed reading her books and never been disappointed. This book would have gotten five stars from me, but the title did not fit the story line. I was expecting her to write on various Hollywood wives, like her first book, but she based the story around two women. This was the only thing that I did not care for. But after that, I would recommend the bookto anyone who enjoys reading Jackie Collins' novels.

This story is typical of Jackie Collins novels. In the beginning, you're introduced to too many characters and may have a difficult time sorting them out. The story progresses to the usual crescendo and fizzles. Note that the author narrates this story in a British "lisp" which at times, can be difficult to understand and quite annoying. She should stick to writing and not narrating! However, its mildly entertaining when you're just stuck for something to listen to.

THIS BOOK is very much like her other 30 or so books, movie stars, affairs, kidnappings, and a deranged person. I was very disappointed because I thought she could have come up with some newer ideas. Do not get me wrong it is fun to read but JACKIE please find some newer things to write about or at least reveal who these people are in real life, maybe then we can appreciate it more.
