I found this book quite by accident and was impressed with the thoroughness of the questionnaires, the easy-to-read and understand explanation of metabolism and body function, the supporting medical documentation, and Dr. Perrone's own hands-on experience with thousands of clients. I tried the diet (Unlimited Protein & Vegetables was my plan) and lost 30 lbs. effortlessly in 7 weeks eating lots of veggies, lean meats, seafood and fish. First time in my LIFE I had been overweight and I am almost back to where I should be. Got my Mom on the plan and she lost 18 lbs in 1 month, normalizing her blood pressure for the first time in years. I've purchased several copies for friends and family for gifts, and can't recommend it enough.

Absolutely Amazing, Absolutely Liveable!,

This is the last diet book you'll ever have to buy. I likethe fact that it has 10 different diets that you can choose from to fit to your lifestyle the best. According to the questions I answered, the best plan for me was the Protein+1 Plan. I love it, its easy and it works! My size six jeans are starting to get a little too baggy for me! I bought so many books before constantly and now I just refer to this book because it has everything you need to know. The first week on my plan was awful since my body was gettingused to thechange but after the first week everything changed dramatically, I feel great. Please, if you have the will power and are serious about being the best you can be get this book because it will do just that.

I followed the advice in the book on the protiens and carbohydrates and I went from 205 to 165 in just 7 weeks. I am very satisfied with the purchase of this book and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling with weight control.

This book is wonderful. First of all the author has helped many gorgeous movie stars (Angela Basset, Demi Moore, Denzel Washington) who now have great bodies. But most importantly, he gives a real education about being fat and how to lose fat--not how to lose weight. There is a difference you know, and it's all explained in this book. All the other diet books that teach you to loose weight have you on the wrong track. This book will get you back on track. All his points really make sense. And he gives the key to understanding our bodies. If you want to lose FAT, this is the book to try. It also has a great quick start 7-day plan for those who need to loose a few pounds before a wedding, party, etc. The book is fabulous. I can't stress that enough. Unlike any other diet book. I wish Tony Perrone was my personal trainer and dietian

After years of torturous dieting, exercise mania, a slew of diet pilss and alot of heartache - I was still fat. A friend of mine purchased this book for me and I read it completely, cover to cover. This is the very best book ever written about diet and FAT loss. Dr. Perrone allows the reader to asess which of ten diets will work for their unique metabolism. I tried the "Protein + 1" and lost inches, pounds and fat immediately. I feel better than ever and everyone I know has now gone out and purchased Dr. Perrone's book - and so should you. Dr. Perrone, if you read this review, let me give you a hug and say "Thank you"

I read the informational chapters and then completed the questionaires. According to the book, I could benefit from the Protein Plus One plan. After reading the proposed diet plan, however, I have some doubts about its nutritional value. First, as a woman in her mid-forties, I am concerned about getting adequate calcium. I am also aware that studies have shown that high protein intake can increase calcium loss. I recommend any women forty or over who try this plan find ways to substantially increase their calcium intake. Also, there is building evidence that chromium picolinate (one of the suggested supplements) can cause DNA damage. Dr. Perrone suggests throughout his book that you should consult with your doctor before trying one of his diet plans, and I highly recommend that you do exactly that. Otherwise, you could be losing a lot more than body fat.

After being a member of the "Diet of the Month" club (for several years, I might add) I have finally found something that works, is easy to stick to, and has made be feel better that I have in years. Just 10 days into my plan, my clothes are beginning to feel different, my energy level is up and I am sleeping great at night! This book is packed with useful information that is easy to read and understand. And by answering just a few questions, you can choose 1 of the 10 plans offered that best works for you. I have already recommended it to several friends and family members and highly recommend it to you, too!! And THANK YOU TONY, for sharing this information with us!

I'll admit that these diet plans probably work, but I just got this book and it is not as easy as it sounds. I can see how it would work for celebrities who have someone to make them the meals they want with the allowed foods.I am a busy college student, and the 3+2 was what was the best for me, but there was no way in the world with my schedule that I'd be able to get the amount of protien that my plan required by cooking foods. So I was going to try drinking protien powder shakes. THEY ARE DISGUSTING AND EXPENSIVE. If you have the time and the money to prepare a variety of meals then I think you will be satisifed with this book and I wish you well, otherwise you will have a hard time. All these diets require that you eat a LOT of protien, and not from some of the sources that we previously believed to be good protien, like dairy products. Also, if you don't know your exact body fat for some of these plans you have to make estimates, how many people are going to go out and get their bodyfat monitored? Your doctors office would laugh at you if you called them and told them you wanted to make an appointment to do that. There are a lot of hidden advertisements for Dr.Perrone's products, constantly reminding you to dial a certain number toll free if you need something he wants you to buy and he can't find it. However, I am using the book as inspiration to diet, I may not lose fat as rapidly as if I was on an exact plan from the book, but I am going to try. I am going to eat a decent amonut of protien and lots of vegetables, and limit my fat and carbohydrates.

Fair, fat & 40. Feeling hopeless about my Size 16 self. I have been battling to get back in shape for the past 8 years - starving myself, eating low fat, almost all carbohydrates. Always feeling like I was dragging an anchor. Now I know why - "Carbohydrates were wreaking havoc on my body." Within 10 days - I feel better, people are asking me, "What are you taking?". PROTEIN. I can not thank Dr Perrone enough. I would recommend this book to anyone who has failed at the countless attempts to feel better, look better, get healthier.

Dr. Perrone's eating plans and supplement regime have helped me get back the energy that I just assumed was gone forever because of my age.
