5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Personal Fan
I needed a fan for my college dorm. I spotted this on display at Bed Bath & Beyond. It looked great for the price (around $15), so I bought it. I have been using it for 2 months, and never regretted the purchase for even a second.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fits where other fans won't
If you don't have a surface to set down a regular table fan, you probably have a place to clip this fan. The clip is very hardcore. And the fan can be pointed in just about any direction. This fan does not blow extremely hard, but I point it directly at my face (from only about a foot or two away) while I'm getting ready, and it works fine for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Personal Fan, July 16, 2010

I needed a fan for my college dorm. I spotted this on display at Bed Bath & Beyond. It looked great for the price (around $15), so I bought it. I have been using it for 2 months, and never regretted the purchase for even a second.

The product feels very sturdy. I have no doubt that it will work for years to come. The clip can open to a maximum of 2", which was incredibly useful for me; the desk I own is a little thicker than most. The clip is padded, but I wouldn't risk attaching this fan to a delicate surface. The fan rotates fully around the base, and can point straight up, straight down, or anywhere in between without the need to adjust the clip. I use it at my desk, and on hot nights, I attach it to the head of my bed. I have yet to try hanging this fan from the wall.

On the 'low' setting, the fan is fairly quiet. The noise it makes isn't distracting, but if you're looking for something almost silent, this fan isn't for you. The 'low' setting blows a fair amount of air; the stream can be felt from a distance of four feet away. The 'high' setting is a little louder, but I don't find it to be much of a nuisance. Other people, however, might. The high setting isn't very necessary at close range, however, and the stream reaches about six feet.

All in all, this fan is a wonderful choice if you need something at a lower cost that does not compromise quality or power.

5.0 out of 5 stars great little fan, December 6, 2010

I clip this to our elliptical machine and it is great - provides much needed relief while working out even on the low setting. Quiet and strong (stays clipped to machine and doesn't fall off even though it bounces a little when machine in use) - so very happy w/this purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Quiet Fan, January 12, 2011

I needed a fan for my treadmill, and so I needed it to be mountable in some fashion, either wall mountable or clip able. I purchased this fan because of the price and some of the reviews and am very happy with my purchase.

The fan is fairly quiet (when I am watching TV and on the treadmill, I don't even hear it), where as my old fan was louder than both. Also on low speed it still generates sufficient air.

This fan does exactly what you need in a mini personal fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good product, February 18, 2011

Nice high quality fan, feels and appears to be very well built. Provides very powerful cooling within around a 5-foot+ range and runs fairly quiet. Positioning is very versatile, yet it holds it's position solidly and clips on very tight and secure.

I bought this to keep cool while using my elliptical. Due to it's large size (7" fan is much bigger than I imagined) I have to mount it on my nearby Bowflex machine a few feet away. This fan works many times better than the built-in fans you see on workout equipment as such. Might be a little overkill to put on a desk facing you though, as it is a very powerful little beast. Maybe would be okay on the lower setting, but the amount of wind generated by this thing is better for a more demanding cooling environment. This fan will keep you cool without question and appears to be built to last. Definitely a good value for the price.

Note: This fan does have a power cord that plugs in, so you will need an outlet within about 5-7 feet to operate it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great, not loud, keeps me cool, helps circulate air, July 1, 2011

I have bought other smaller fans. They tend to be too loud. This one is noticeable, but not LOUD. In terms of noise, it seems to be superior. From across the room, I have to look at it carefully just to be sure it is on. Pointing it at my room's open door is enough to encourage more air to come in my window from the cool side of the building. It keeps me and my laptop cool.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nothing special... but it works, March 23, 2011

I am happy with this fan. For the price I thought it was a good deal. My sons have bunk beds and my youngest (on top) has a shelf for books, his alarm clock, and a snack off the side. He always complained that the fan his brother uses never gets to him... so I got this. I actually clipped it on the back of the shelf upside down. It has worked great. Don't get me wrong... you will not get blown away by this fan, but it moves the air and keeps it circulating. My son has been happy with it. If I needed another one, I would purchase this one again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Fans! High Speed Could be Faster, March 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Holmes HACP7B-UC 7-Inch Personal Fan (Kitchen)
We purchased two of these for our Greenhouse to use as air circulators. They work very well for this purpose and the large sturdy clip is impressive and more substantial than what you usually find on clip on fans in this price range.

I gave the product 4 stars instead of 5 because I felt that the speed of the fan could be higher on the HIGH setting. We have a couple of older fans that these are being combined with that provide a higher speed using the same diameter blade. Other than that, they are a well made product for the price.
