Powerful for size, but noisy,

This little fan is stylish and moves a lot of air for its size. However it is noisier than the average fan. On the high setting it is quite noisy, to the point of where you have to raise your voice to carry on a conversation. On low it is still noisier than you would expect it to be, too noisy to be used in the bedroom to sleep unless you want some white noise to drown out street noises. Low does move enough air to feel it from several feet away.

Noisy and not powerful,

I've been searching for the perfect office fan for sometime now. I've used the following fans in the last 6 months:
1) Honeywell HT-900C 2) Honeywell Duracraft DT-75 Personal 2-Speed Fan 3) This one (Holmes HANF76BLZ07-UC Blizzard) Of these three, the Blizzard is easily the worst. It is by far the noisiest--so loud that it's completely unsuitable for use in an office if you want to be able to hear people on the phone (or hear yourself think). It also is inferior in the amount of air it pushes around. The Duracraft is much smaller, quieter, and pushes just as much air. The only advantage to the Blizzard model is that it has adjustable tilt so you can aim it better. Other than that, it's a waste of money. Review of each fan: Honeywell HT-900C: The most powerful of the bunch, and has a tilting stand, although over time it gets loose so that it's harder to keep it adjusted where you set it. Generates strong air currents with moderate noise. I own several of these and use them in my home. They're a rock-solid design that's been around for a while now. Airflow: 5 Stars Noise level: 3 Stars Build Quality: 4 Stars Features: 4 Stars Final rating: 4 Honeywell Duracraft DT-75: Small, quiet, and powerful enough, this would be the best of the bunch if not for its lack of a tilting stand. It works well if you put it directly on your desktop, but otherwise it's hard to get the airflow aimed where you want it. I'd give this fan 5 stars except for that limitation. Airflow: 4 Stars Noise Level: 5 Stars Build Quality 3 Stars Features: 3 Stars Final Rating: 3.5 Holmes HANF76BLZ07-UC Blizzard Airflow: 2 Stars Noise Level: 1 Star Build Quality: 4 Stars Features: 3 Stars Final Rating: 2 I hope this helps you choose the best option for your personal fan.

I bought this fan specifically for white noise while my baby is sleeping. It's exactly what I was looking for and the price is right! It's not quiet and not TOO loud, either. Absolutely perfect.

Don't let the size of this fan fool you... it packs quite a punch, is very sturdy and sure footed. The fan is also wall mountable, via slotted holes on the base. The black color just makes it even "cooler" to have.

I bought this fan to use in the bedroom but it is just too noisy. It doesn't seem to move air better than any other fan.

I bought this fan as background noise for my baby's nursery - it works beautifully, leaving a nice hum that blocks out other sounds, moving enough air to keep the room fresh, but not too much to make the room too drafty and my baby to get cold. I do run it on the highest setting for maximum "whoosh". :) I LOVE it for my purposes, worked out just as I had hoped.

I have to agree with the other reviewers, this thing moves a lot of air and is noisy as hell.
If the noise is going to be a factor, don't buy it. Otherwise it's a great little fan...

For years I've been plagued with intense ringing in the ears, and sleep, doesn't come easy. I needed a fan that would fit reasonably into carry on luggage, yet, put out enough noise for the stated purpose. This little baby really does the job and I couldn't be happier. For those of you looking, this is the one!

I purchased this fan because I wanted something to drown out the noise of people talking next door, and it's done a very good job so far.

this was just the thing i was looking for to put next to my bed to keep air circulating during the night while i slept. the two speeds are great both push conciderable amounts of air, the faster setting does make a little more noise then i would like but not that big of a deal doesnt diturb me while in bed. I would highly recommend this to my friends looking for a small desk fan or one for the bedroom.
