Decent space heater,

This heater does a nice job heating a small area. It's pretty quiet and the fan forced output is about what you'd expect from a fan set on "slow". Doesn't get hot to the touch. A little top heavy, falls over with very little help, but shuts itself off. Heat proximity breaker takes 30 minutes to reset, that's too long.
The automatic switching between 1000W and 1500W works, but it really needs an obvious manual LO/HI switch (it says three speeds in the writeup, I found two?). The switch to disable eco-save mode leaves it set at 1500W, which is too high on a shared bathroom circuit. Trips our house GFI breaker at least once every couple weeks, seems to be something to do with the tip-over shutoff.

They keep breakin' & I keep buyin' 'em. ;) I love this little guy. It cranks. I want one for every room b/c my dogs worship them and live in front of them. You can push a button for Energy Saver on or off. It is cooler with it on, but that is nice for when it's not as cold out. I bought my first one at Bed Bath & Beyond & it is still crankin'. My second order from Amazon, via home (?) came with one broken. The other broke soon after. They replaced the one that arrived broken in a timely manner. So, now I have 2 that work, and need to replace the third. The good news is they cost less than the Vornado's, which ALWAYS break eventually, anyway. And, if they fall over, or get knocked over by a dog, they turn themselves off. I know I'm not supposed to leave them on when I leave the house, but I do sometimes. It keeps the dogs happy & content & QUIET. No problems there so far.The heater is also quiet, by the way. So, this is the heater for me. Much cheaper than running heat for the whole house, I think.

I bought this loud thing at Target before I saw it on line here at Amazon. I thought it worked great; especially since it fell over often, dimmed the lights every time it came on, and tripped the breaker several times. I really like the warmth and the safety tip over auto shutoff feature ~ Safety First! It lasted a couple of years before frying two separate outlets (wall, UPS battery back up system) and later a third (power strip w/ surge protection) with a horrid electrical smell and the cord could have caught fire had I not been monitoring it.
NEVER LEAVE ANY SPACER HEATER PLUGGED IN OR UNATTENDED; I never did and I never will ~ I don't care who makes it! 5 stars for heat 5 stars for energy saver 5 stars for shutting off when falls over -4 stars for tripping the breaker -5 stars for almost catching fire -2 stars for property damage -1 stars for dimming the lights -2 stars for only lasting 2 years (I still miss it, I'm cold) ============================================================= 1 star rating >>>>> Update ... I bought the SPT Ceramic heater that oscillates ~ Super safe!

Not hot, but warm.,

I enjoy this little guy. It isn't super hot, but does make the cold leave very quickly. Will make the room around 60-70 degrees in about half an hour to an hour. Cold touch front, which I like. Energy saver does feel much cooler, but it cycles so it will warm back up. Not exactly a "Turn on and instantly get warm" type of heater. The air does come out warm from the very start, but for best use leave it on in the room for a while. Keeps you warm during the night splendidly. Won't make the room hot, but does make it cozy. Only two settings, Eco-friendly and Non-Eco-friendly, but does have an automatic shutoff set for four hours. I like it.

I'm was surprised to find that this unit does not have a thermostat or power level settings, like the Holmes heater that it replaced after 5+ years of use. The new unit is extremely quiet and heats space very quickly. Only time will tell how energy efficient the unit is, but this unit does not dim the lights like the old unit when in use. So it appears it's energy usage is less. So far, I would say that these are great space heaters.

no warm enough ....,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
We chose this model because it seemed an energy-efficient alternative to our previous Holmes spaceheater, which had worn out after several years of use. The one really good aspect of this heater is that it seems very safe -- the moment it is tilted or put against a surface, it stops. However, it does not generate a lot of heat, even on the higher setting. We have a very small bathroom, yet even after running the heater for 30+ minutes, the room is still not what I would consider really warm (admittedly, I'm a person who is easily chilled.) We bought this in November and used it daily, but I was never completely happy with it, and now the heating element is starting to give out and the heater is generating even less warmth. We're definitely shopping around for something with a little more heating power.
