5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful reading that is unique and informative
I loved this book. One of the most refreshing books I have read in awhile, the Holographic Canvas reads like poetry-fluid and non-linear. Yet,it makes total sense and provokes deeper thinking as well as self-understanding. Freedom, autonomy and clarity of vision are the keywords I would use to categorize this book,if I had to categorize at all.

With all due respect to the perhaps brilliant Ms Barrett, this book is a high-sounding roller-coaster ride to nowhere. Much of it reads like it was channelled into a voice-recognition software program -- at times breathlessly -- and the results were never edited, even for the basic punctuation that would make the sentence understandable. Some of it reads like it was...

Reading it is like stumbling upon a secret doorway. It's a unique book b/c it ties together economics, science, spirituality and every day living, while most books on 'spiritualty' are very removed from the course of our day to day existence and what affects us directly. If you are looking for a new take on both old and new concepts, check out this book. It will expand your mind.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting reading regarding 2012 - the ascension., July 15, 2009
This review is from: The Holographic Canvas (Paperback)
The book "Holographic Canvas" is a concept which states that our humanity is governed by a matrix. It is a matrix that is governed by a great super mind called the "void." There are matrix's overlapping matrix's which mirror our thoughts, desires, etc. which in turn dooms us to repeat mistakes and loop humanity into the inescapablecycle of reincarnation.

The year 2012 will bring about a cosmic graduation - ascension - freeing humanity from old ways of thinking by thinking inward. In order for us to change we have to rethink everythig about reality and the illusions of the mind. Interesting reading which covers many subjects including linear time, time travel, Atlantis and Earth's design.

The Holographic Canvas: The Fusing of Mind and Matter
By Sonia Barrett
ISBN: 978-0-61517-355-9 (Timeline Publishing, 2007)

Matter is constantly seeking manifestation through higher and more complex forms. Sonia Barrett's holistic approach is a bold and much-needed step to understanding the matrix of life that we share with all living things. She seeks to see through the apparent chaos of life to find the hidden patterns that are the underpinnings of reality itself. This can be accomplished only by clearing away old beliefs. In the words of William Blake, "If the doors of perception were cleansed we would see life as it is, infinite."

Some of it reads like it was randomly generated by a New Age lingo machine. I found myself rereading any number of sentences trying to figure out what was being said. It is probably very true that we've gotten lost in a DNA-determined Matrix (we unquestioningly accept so much as "reality"), but this book will not help you find your way out of any prison. It is definitely not a roadmap to your "Sovereignty". I put this along with a long list of books that tells people that they are powerful and magnificent, but trapped in some illusion.....then, leaves you there. Oh, thanks. And, now I've blown $18.95 (less at Amazon)!
