This table lamp is not just beautiful and gives great adjustable light. It also lasts for many years. I know because I bought my first one 15 years ago and it still looks great, never had a problem with it. It is, however, not a kitchen lamp as you write. It is for a living or bedroom.

The lamp is what it appears to be: a sleek design that fits, especially in the antique brass, into modern settings as well as more traditional surroundings. The dimmer switch is a real plus, allowing bright light from a 100 w halogen light as well as the dimmest night light next to the bed. One slight drawback: the light tends to get hot; thus, it should be placed out of the reach of children. The light is not very tall; thus, I would recommend getting the 6229 version rather than the 6228 version, which is even smaller.
