Part of the Lighting for the Aging Eye series, Holtkoetter Halogen Floor lamp No. 6515/1 with a glass shade provides light from a 100W halogen bulb by Osram. This lamp provides more than two times the light recommended by the American Lighting Association for reading and other tasks requiring precision. This floor lamp employs ingenious dimming technology - turn the stem and the lamp dims. Holtkoetter International, Inc. manufactures lamps and light fixtures of the highest quality and is one of a handful of companies left that still design their own fixtures and do their own manufacturing from the raw metal to the finished product, resulting in lamps of lasting quality.

Great, well made light. Love it, although it is not a room light. It is limited to being a reading light because it is so short. Fun to watch friends try to figure out hot to turn it on. Twist the pole for dimmer/on/off
