Holy Baby! Seven Prayers in Seven Languages is a funfilled show featuring prayers of the rosary, a favorite Catholic prayer of meditation.
This fun show exposes babies and young children to the sounds of prayer and language when their minds are most able and eager to learn. Baby Scholastica hosts a delightful parade of art, statuary toys, and children at play. Joyful music has little ones giggling, singing and asking to see the video over and over!
There are eight soundtracks on this one DVD. Listen to the prayers in all seven languages at once. Or, using the menu, hear them in just English, or French, or Spanish, or Latin, or Vietnamese, or German, or Portuguese. The seven prayers on this DVD are the Sign of the Cross, the Apostles Creed, the Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, O My Jesus and Hail Holy Queen. Songs included are Jesus Loves the Little Children, the Seven Joys of Mary, A Childs Morning Hymn and the original Holy Baby! theme song.
This ! DVD is a recipient of a 2005 Telly Award and a 2005 Videographer Award and airs in a condensed version on EWTNs satellite network.

Great teaching tool for your baby through preschooler,

My young children love this DVD! It sets the words of seven basic Christian prayers to music and images, some religious, some of children playing, others of lights, colors, toys, etc. Very similar to the Baby Einstein videos in format. It is fun to hear the prayers recited in the other languages, the Vietnamese especially is very lyrical.
For the reviewer who thought the Holy Baby series to be a bad example of mindless repitition, I would suggest that most children learn firstly through repetition, and then when they are older you can explain to them the reasons why certain prayers are said and what the words in them mean. Teletubbies uses the same device, repeating short video clips twice because very young children LOVE repetition. Holy Baby is a good combination of innocent fun, learning and faith. Highly recommended for Catholic Christian families that understand the value of memorized prayers.

This DVD is a "must have" for serious Catholic families with small children. It's also a great tool for grandparents who are concerned about children who are not getting enough prayer. Holy Baby has taught three of our children to recite prayers of the rosary. Thanks to this DVD, we have a three year old who can cross herself and recite the Sign of the Cross in Latin! Our entire family loves this DVD. It will surely help mold a more prayerful and faitful culture, one child at a time.

This truely is a great DVD about prayers in 7 differnt languages, seperate them one at a time or listen to them all in a row. My grandson loves to watch this everytime he come over. He picked up the sign of the cross the very first time he watch it
(1 1/2) and did it the correct way instead of going backwards first. Highley recommend for any catholic family or anyone wanting to learn how to say prayers.
