This Kindle version is very similar in layout as the NASB version by Lockman. Easy to navigate the TOC, Links, etc. I really like the Amplified version for it's extra clarification of passages and text. It does takes a little time to get used to, but it's worth it. Recommended.

I love the Amplified Bible, but was disappointed that the Kindle Version had eliminated the Book introductions, the reference system that was normally included within the text & the footnotes from the bottom of the pages that added a lot of helpful information to the text.

The Amplified version of the Bible is fascinating from a linguistics point of view, and the Kindle version is easily navigatable. I highly recommend it.

The Amplified version formatted for Kindle is easy to read and fairly easy to search for book and chapter by: selecting the menu button/go to/table of contents. I like the Amplified version for studying because the meaning of each word is amplified (according to the original Hebrew/Greek meaning) thereby giving the best interpretation of each scripture text. I recently searched for the meanings of some words in a text and realized that if I'd just read it in the Amplified Bible, it would have clarified the meaning. I have the KJV, ESV and NASV on my Kindle. All versions that I've downloaded need improvements in the area of the search feature, because so far, I have not been able to search by book/chapter/verse in any of them, even though Amazon says that I can; it doesn't work. The problem that I find the most irritating in all versions is the note and bookmark features. When making a note or bookmark, it is saved with the location number (no page number, book or chapter). You have to turn the pages back to the beginning of the chapter to find out what book of the Bible that it is in.

I enjoy following along with a popular lady evangelist who uses the amplified version of the Bible in her teaching. As the title of my review suggests, I was very surprised, and pleasantly so, that Holy Bible: Amplified was so easily navigable and such a joy to use and at such a thrifty price.

It was a true blessing. The only way that I was able to afford my Kindle was in selling all of the heaps of hard cover and paperback books that had been around the house for years, and I get mostly free and bargain books now. Bibles are generally extremely expensive when bought at a book store, so to get one that is easy to use on an e-reader is most worthy of a 5-star rating! Way to go Lockman!!! Who knew a Christian publisher would actually practice what they preach?

The Amplified Bible is my favorite version of the bible. My hard copy literally fell apart at the binding due to overuse so big batches of loose pages are no longer connected but I still hang on to it because as any bible lover knows each of those pages become precious over time along with the notes in the margins. With my Kindle version I don't have to worry about loosing pages each time I open it so I was thrilled to get this.

I bought the Kindle version to use on my iPhone. All in all, it's OK. Not great and the formatting gets a little messed up at times. If you are looking for a great FREE bible application for the iPhone that gives you numerous translations, including this one, check out Holy Bible.

I got a new Kindle for Christmas and the first thing I downloaded (had to pay for it as well) was another version of the Amplified Bible, but found it extremely difficult to navigate through. So I did some searching around on Amazon to see if there was a version that was more easily navigated. I came across this one and after reading the reviews I decided to go ahead and give it a try. Very easy navigation! I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a Kindle version of the Amplified bible that can be navigated quickly and easily.

I love this bible. It's a great study bible and I read it on the train coming home from work. It's THE best Kindle purchase so far! 5 STARS!

A great bargain for a Kindle and I think a Bible is a necessity on a Kindle. With a little practice, it is easy to switch back and forth between verses. I love the Amplified version. Much easier to tote to church than a paper or hardback Bible. I love it.
