From past many years I was looking for the Holy Bible which shall be simple and easy to read and understand. I have and was reading KJV Bible from many years. Some quotes are really hard to understand or digest. After various internet reviews and reading online from biblegateway.com I ordered this version of Bible (NIrV) with large print. I am glad I made a right choice. Easy to read and understand for all the ages. Now myself and my entire family enjoy reading NIrV Holy Bible. God is giving us wisdom to understand His words. My six year old also love to read now. I am very thankful to people who are involved in back to print the NIrV ver. May God bless them abundantly! Price is also comparatively low here to other online sites. Thanks to Amazon. I will order some more in coming days for my entire family..

I had a regular NIV and needed one with larger print and a bit easier to understand. This is perfect and I highly recommend it.

I ordered this Bible as a special gift for my young daughter, but was shocked at how thick and heavy it turned out to be. It's hard to tell from the picture, but it's probably a couple of inches thick and it weighs 2 lbs! I also found the text difficult to read: the pages were very thin and somewhat see-through. We ended up returning it. I wouldn't recommend this particular Bible for a child, but perhaps it would be OK for an adult. I ended up buying a paperback Bible that is also NIrV and so far I like the simpleness of the translation (what I was looking for, in buying a first Bible for a child).

Easy to read... and understand
They say this is written at a 3rd grade level. Very true. It is easy to read, understand and stay focused on. I like this one. I have pretty much traded in my NIV.

Reading and Studying
There are a couple things you can do with a Bible: You can read it! and you can Study it. I believe Christians do way too much of the latter and not enough of the former! Read more
