The Statlers' have taken the Bible stories and recorded very clever songs to illustrate them. Some of the songs are written by the group and some are old favorites, but each one is enjoyable and fun to sing along with. From the creation to the second coming, you will laugh, cry, and rejoice through the music and lyrics. Even if you do not particularly enjoy gospel music, I think you will appreciate the creativity that went into this collection of songs.

THE CD FEATURES THE VOICE OF THE LATE GREAT LEW DEWITT SINGING STUNNING TENOR. LEW ALSO WROTE AND ARRANGED MANY OF THE TUNES. MY FAVORITE TUNES ON THIS RECORDING FROM 1977 INCLUDE "OUR FATHER", AND "HOW GREAT THOUGH ART". THESE ARE CLASSIC RELIGIOUS HYMNNS DONE IN THE STATLER STYLE THAT WILL MOVE ANY LISTENER TO EXPERIENCE THE LOVE OF THE LORD. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST RELIGIOUS, NO THE BEST RECORDING BY THE STATLERS EVER.

The Statler Brothers musically tell the story of the Christian faith--from the beginning to... eternal hope. They marvelously tell the old time stories of faith and inspiration. The accurate, historical portrayal of Biblical events is educational and motivating. "The Holy Bible", Old and New Testaments, is, perhaps, the Statler Brothers' greatest musical production.

Bought this from the Statlers website when it was supposedly no longer in production. Got the Old Testament and New.
Lots of good, country gospel telling stories vs. just gospel msuic.

This CD was purchased as a gift for a friend. She was enthalled with it as were many others. This was a down time in her life & it really lifted her spirits. I could not have made a better purchase to share with her & other friends.

I am not a country music fan, but I absolutely LOVE this CD. I think it's great that a group as well known as the Statler Brothers would do this kind of inspiring music. Both this one and The Old Testament are fantastic. Thank you and God Bless!!!

I have been listening to this audio tape for YEARS and YEARS, and never tire of it. I am pleased that I can now buy a CD of "The Holy Bible" by the Statler Brothers.

My wife and I love this album. If I could find more at a reasonable price:I would buy them for gifts.

Like I said about the Old Testmant CD....Two of my favorite things....The Holy Bible and The Statler Brothers! This CD is the product of the two coming together. What glorious stories and what glorious voices! Praise to the King and His mighty works in song. Terrific!
