5.0 out of 5 stars INCREDIBLE!
I've been a fan of the Amplified Bible for a number of years, but T.D. Jakes has won me over with his edition of the New King James version. While the Bible itself if extraordinary just because of what it is, T. D. Jakes ratchets it up a notch with the little "Pearls of Wisdom" at the bottom of every other page, along with his page-long encouragements, all...

2.0 out of 5 stars "Modalism"?
Be careful! Many Christians will tell you that disbelieving the Trinity is tantamount to heresy. However, Jesus himself would have told you otherwise-- the Trinity is a false doctrine which was incorporated into Christianity well after the first century apostles walked the earth. Apparently, T.D. Jakes has actually READ his Bible, because he's right. I fully endorse...

5.0 out of 5 stars INCREDIBLE!, July 30, 2000
I've been a fan of the Amplified Bible for a number of years, but T.D. Jakes has won me over with his edition of the New King James version. While the Bible itself if extraordinary just because of what it is, T. D. Jakes ratchets it up a notch with the little "Pearls of Wisdom" at the bottom of every other page, along with his page-long encouragements, all meant just for women. This man is TRULY anointed of God. Every encouragement, admonishment, and little reminder seems written JUST FOR ME, one who has battled with low self-esteem since childhood. Reverend Jakes' notes and encouragements are just the right little "boost" to the Word of God to solidify in me that I AM SPECIAL TO GOD, and enable me to believe it and walk in the victory that belongs to me -- I am VICTORIOUS, and good self-esteem and confidence belong to ME now.

Women, GET THIS BIBLE! T. D. Jakes' notes and encouragements remind us of the REAL POWER we have as Women of God. If you're not a Christian, you'll be well on your way once you begin to read his "Pearls" and other writings. If you are already a Christian, this edition of the Bible will tighten up your walk substantially. (It's good for men, too -- we all need boosting!)

I thank God that both Reverend and Mrs. Jakes have yielded and submitted themselves to be used by God to get the message out that GOD LOVES US -- ALL. What true People of God!

5.0 out of 5 stars Woman, Thou re Loosed!, May 19, 2001

I was in search of a Bible that would give me spiritual healing and total understanding of the word of God. This Bible is a joy to own, not only is the New King James version easy to understand, T.D. Jakes trully adds an added blessing to this bible with his gospel pears and special notations that are indicated with beautiful rose markings. Any woman who is in search of a clearer understanding of God's word and needs some spiritual healing should purchase this Bible. I bought four Bibles prior to purchasing this one and I must say that my quest for the perfect Bible has ended, I even purchased one for a friend. I really recommend this Bible, not only is it beautiful, it is full of extras that will make it hard for you to put down. God Bless T.D. Jakes for making this Bible just for women and for keeping in mind that women love beautiful things.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Only Book One Needs!!!, September 19, 1999
By A Customer
I just recently purchased this Bible. I have not been able to put the Bible down. I truly enjoy the Gospel Pearls, the articles that relate with Bible verses, and the Soul Secrets have made me cry and praise God at the same time. I am planning to purchase this Bible for women in my family. I am encouraging other women to purchase this Bible---it is a must have. God Bless.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Bible for devotional reading, September 16, 2000
By A Customer
I love my "Woman Thou Art Loosed Bible." I have never found a more inspiring devotional Bible, and it never fails to lift my spirits when I read it. Bishop Jakes's commentaries and "gospel pearls" have gone a long way toward helping me see my worth as a daughter of God and encouraging me to break out of my "comfort zone." This is not a study Bible; it has a concordance but no maps, book outlines, or translation notes. If a study Bible is what you want and need, skip this and get "The New Open Bible" instead. But if you want a Bible for Scripture-based healing and inspiration targeted to women, this is the way to go.

5.0 out of 5 stars Out of the Ashes, May 6, 2002

Pamela Veach (Western Australia) - See all my reviews
As a survivor of childhood incest, cruel mental and physical abuse and ultimately abandonment I have found Bishop Jakes' powerful commentaries a lifeline. How a man could so profoundly understand the heart and soul of wounded womanhood is truly a miracle directly from God's hand. I purchased this beautiful Bible while still in the states. Now, as a recent immigrant to Australia, it is with great joy that I can share his words with my new Christian friends here and purchase copies for some of them. God Bless you T.D. Jakes

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Although Some Words are Hard to Understand, July 4, 2000
This devotional bible is really good. Mr. Jakes wrote this book by Holy Spirit, and it makes me good from hurting and depression. It is like God teaching me not to give up in everything, and Mr. Jakes's devotional makes me proud to be woman when I read each woman from the bible's example. God loves everyone no matter we are men or women. I am glad that I become Christian because God treats us equally no matter we are men or women. I also like New King James Version because it is more accurate than NIV or New Living Bible. However, some words in devotional that Mr. Jakes use are a little bit hard to understand because he tried to make every sentence elaborate, and sometimes I feel like reading poems, but I recommend this Holy Bible for godly women.

His book teaches me about relationships between us and God. It also heals me from hurting. I recommend you all to read it, and I don't think it is "Modalism."
