Editorial Reviews

Holy cow indeed! It’s the only album from Hollywood star Bill Paxton’s rock band! Think quirky dance-pop a la B-52’s and Oingo Boingo, as Paxton and his partner Andy Todd enlist the aid of left-of-center screen stars like Bud Cort and Judge Reinhold on this 1988 release. It’s another exclusive release from our Noble Rot label, with sweet digipak packaging!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great music, too bad they made just 1 cd, May 14, 2003

What a group - high energy music - the Fat-Burning Formula song is hilarious, and almost every song is perfect for the modern 80s high energy clever music liker. Oh how I wish they lasted longer and made another CD

I love every tune on this CD. I bought it when it came out. If you like Thomas Dolby, The B52's, Oingo Boingo or maybe even Frank Zappa you will love this CD. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Other side of Devo!, May 10, 2009

Awesome music with a distasteful cover art (go figure). Really like the 'western-sounding' flavor IMO. The lead singer from Devo was the singer for "How Can the Labouring Man Find Time for Self-Culture?"

I recommend this album for anyone working on the farm.

As good as Boys Don't Cry (you can't find any song from their one-hit wonder "I Wanna Be a Cowboy" so I have done random search, but there is an extended version you can request on Flashback Alternatives).

Whether you like this genre of music or remember one-hit wonders from the 1980s, this album should hit the spot. A great listen on-the-go!

It is probably safe to say you might have heard of Devo, but not heard of Martini Ranch. (Yes, again, ode to the farmer. Giddy-up! - I am no farmer.)
