Awesome Spiritual Journey,
This review is from: The Holy Family In Egypt (DVD)
This documentary combines adventure, history and an amazing spiritual journey. It answered the many questions I had about Jesus' childhood years...where he went, what he did.... all while being pursued by King Herod's soldiers. The film makes you feel like you are with Paul Perry every step of the way on this extraordinary journey. The places and things seen and heard on this DVD are truly amazing. I recommend this to EVERYONE!!!! A MUST SEE!!! This is truly....."The Greatest Story Never Told".....until now!!

Enjoyed watching the DVD not only for the information about Jesus during his early years but also about the culture of Egypt. I did like the info about the footstep of Egypt and about each of the stories some of the small towns have kept in their oral history. Also, nice filming and information about areas of Egypt that the typical tourist doesn't visit. It also gives you a different version of the variety of religions in the area. Makes it apparent these different religions can actually get along! I also see that Paul Perry has book out on the subject as well as a website jesusinegypt.com ... Nice job!

This movie is truly a piece of art, a unique view of a place that I thought had been completely exposed on Western TV. It brings current the story of Jesus, showing how this most influential man in history has a powerful and positive effect on the troubled world of the Middle East. I highly recommend this film for the journey and the knowledge it provides.

THE TRAIL OF JESUS CHRIST WHILE IN EGYPT,
By Jesus Rabell-Mendez (San Juan, Puerto Rico) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Holy Family In Egypt (DVD)
Excellent picture based on the excellent book of the same title by author Paul Perry. Paul takes us back 2000 years to follow Jesus Christs footsteps, mainly by following the Coptic Orthodox Church's accepted route, while on his so called flight to Egypt. He does so personally by transporting us to Egypt using words and images taken on site by him and his crew. This is a visual work of art and history, well researched and documented, which shows Christ The Lord, at a young age (12-30) as he went to Egypt to escape Herod's wrath. Seeing the movie and reading the book is a unique physical and spiritual experiece.

The Lost Years,

You should read his book first, then watch the DVD. The photography is great but the background music and the monotone voice can catch you closing your eyelids once in awhile. Overall it is very interesting and covers a subject that many thought about but were never able to find anything addressing this part of his life.
