Book Description

What does Drew Evans have to say next? Find out in this forty page short story, filled with his sexy charm, unique advice and hilarious one-liners.

Marriage: the final frontier. Steven went first. He was kind of our test subject. Like those monkeys that NASA sent off into space in the fifties, all the while knowing they’d never make it back.

And now another poor rocket is ready to launch.

But this isn’t just any posh New York wedding. You’ve seen my friends, you’ve met our families, you know you're in for a treat. Everyone wants their wedding to be memorable. This one’s going to be un-frigging-forgettable.

3.0 out of 5 stars putting the "short" in "short story" December 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Wow, this was not at all what I expected. While it was well written, cute, and had some humorous parts (thus the 3 star rating), I was a bit disappointed. I have seen many authors post something of this size for free on their websites. I've definitely never purchased such a SHORT short story. It was more like a scene or scene and a half or something. The characters didn't develop in any real way. And the reader was tricked into thinking the story was something that it wasn't because of the cover (which, I mean, come why I bought it). Ok, it was only 99 cents. Nonetheless...I almost returned it because I felt jipped. But I don't return books that I finish. And I finished this. Couldn't really help it. Because I started it and then it ended haha.

I can't recommend purchasing this. If there's a full novel that follows Tangled, I'd definitely get it. But not this.

1.0 out of 5 stars greed is a terrible sin December 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Miss Emma Chase, if you want a fan base, one that follows you and supports you, please for the love of all things don't charge .99 for a paragraph. In essence that's what you've done here. This is not even an epilogue and you are so wrong to your fans for doing this. I'm disappointed.

This is not even about their wedding this was a brief glimpse at their friend reception.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why is March so far away? December 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Drew Evans became one of my all-time favorite book boyfriends, in Emma Chase's Tangled, not just because he was charming, sexy and disarmingly honest, but because his wit and humor consistently kept me laughing aloud. In the follow up novella, Holy Frigging Matrimony, the author continues the story of Drew and Kate, revolving the narrative around the wedding of their two best friends. The novella is a short and steamy update on an in-between phase in Drew and Kate's relationship, where they've settled in as a couple but past insecurities linger, stirring up drama and setting the scene for an unforgettable wedding reception.

With Drew as narrator, there is never a dull moment. His mind is constantly churning out humorous thoughts, more often than not related to sex, which translates to a good portion of the novella being dedicated to satisfying his inner erotic ramblings. The best place to be is inside Drew's head because of the fact that half of his outrageous musings never pass his lips. Much like with Tangled, I was either laughing in outright hilarity or shocked disbelief.

My only complaint about Holy Frigging Matrimony? It went by much too quickly for my taste. I would've happily settled in to read another two hundred or more pages of Emma Chase's writing. This novella was a light and entertaining read, filling in the wait between books. While it made me remember exactly why I loved this series, it only made me more anxious to find out what happens next.

2.0 out of 5 stars What in the HOLY hell!?! December 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The "sneak preview" provided of Tangled is LONGER than the actual novella. Seriously!! It took me 7 minutes to read this start to finish. If EVER something should have been a free gift from an author this was it. I really can't believe I paid money for this total tease.

I LOVE tangled to pieces, but this really pissed me off. I feel pretty bamboozled that I hunkered down to read a "novella" and got a snippet from what should have been released free on the authors website. ...In my opinion.

Edited (due to guilt)- okay, so I re-read the synopsis and see now in small faded print that they did disclose the book is only 40 pages long. That is my fault as the consumer for not being more diligent and investigating more carefully. I'm still totally annoyed it was so short, but accept full blame for my blunder. I added an additional star from my original rating.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 sexy and comical stars! December 10, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
He's backkkkkkkkkkk!!!!

I missed Drew Evans so freakin' much!!! Holy Frigging Matriomony is a SHORT story that takes place one year after Tangled. It's a sexy, quick, entertaining read. I fell in love with Drew in Tangled. If you did not read it yet ... What are you waiting for!?!?!? Go get it!!! It's HILARIOUS!!!!! I have lost count of how many times I have read it. Tangled is my GO TO book when I need to come out of a major book hangover or when I just need to laugh until I can't breathe! Every time I open my ebook, I can hear Drew whisper to me: ''Again?!?! I don't blame you for coming back to me ... I'm that Awesome!'' He is ... Really! He's U-N-F-O-R-G-E-T-T-A-B-L-E!!!!

I'm really happy that we get to check-in with Drew and Kate. These two have a top spot on my Favorite Couple list :) They have such an amazing chemistry. It's really hard to review a short story without giving too much away, but let me tell you this ... Drew sure knows how to make Kate go wild in five minutes, his mouth gets him into so much trouble ... Again! And, he learns that payback is a B*tch! LOL!!!

Drew Evans is the BOMB! He is like a box of Pringles to me ... Once you pop open Tangled, the fun just won't stop! :) You NEED to add Tangled and Holy Frigging Matrimony on your TBR list, I promise you, you won't be disappointed! Emma Chase is brilliant!

I give Holy Frigging Matrimony 5 sexy and comical stars! I can't get enough of Drew Evan's! March can't come soon enough for me! I.need.more.Drew.

More About the Author

By day, Emma Chase is a devoted wife and mother who resides in a small, rural town in New Jersey. By night she toils away the hours bringing her colorful characters and their endless antics to life. She has a long standing love/hate relationship with caffeine.

Emma is an avid reader. Before her children were born she was known to consume whole books in a single day. Writing has also always been a passion and with the 2013 release of her debut romantic comedy, Tangled, the ability to now call herself an author is nothing less than a dream come true.

Some of Emma's favorite quotes from Tangled -

"You are making me crazy!"
"Crazy like you want to rip my shirt off again?"
"No - crazy like the itch of a yeast infection that won't go away!"

"And I will be damned if Kate Brooks is going to walk her ass in here and take that away from me. No matter how fine of an ass it may be."

"Words are cheap. Actions win wars. Actions heal wounds."

"It makes me want to kiss her and strangle her at the same time. I've never been into S&M. But I'm beginning to see its benefits."
