If u've seen them live u'll understand why they're called holyf***. None of this music is made on a laptop. They use real drums and real bass, they even made a scratch device using an old tape thing u just have to see them live to understand its that crazy. They also employ a number of toys and keyboards going through effects pedals. Deffinately recommend this album, although they improvise so much live that u'll never hear the same song twice.

Listen here. A few years ago all I listened to was rock. This past year all I've listened to is electronic music; mostly IDM like aphex twin. This album bridges the gap.
It's spectacular they do all their electronic work without a laptop....without ableton or logic! They use cassette tapes, circuit bended synths, real hardware. Plus these acoustic drum beats are just so awesome it's hard to imagine they weren't made on a laptop! Get the album.

Saw these guys open up for Metric last night. They were pretty good so I bought the CD. It's awesome.
Really danceable, beat driven...noise I guess, I can't really describe it. Just try it, they're cool. Plus the drummer is also in another Canadian band called Blue Rodeo, waaaayy different than these guys.
