Great selection,

For this CD the record company had the internet community vote on their favorite songs out of 40 something different songs that they were considering; based on the vote results, they narrowed down the choices and voted a total of 3 rounds of voting until they came up with everyone's favorite songs.
These songs are creative and all have a different sound to it (different artists), so it's a nice variety. And most of the songs have really tight lyrics.

I am sad to see so many bad reviews for this CD. It is my favorite one of the volumes, although volume 3 is my second favorite. I myself was disappointed in volume 6! My favorite songs on this album are numbers 1,3, and 9! Number 1 is the best one on the entire CD though... it made the CD what it is! lol... I would recommend it, but seeing that some people don't like it, if you don't like it, you can always sell it!

Decent release, but it could've been better....,
By M.K. (Norfolk, VA) - See all my reviews

The Holy Hip Hop compilation series continues with Volume 5. Compiling songs has been no easy task for the masterminds in charge of the CD.
Few standouts are "Make Em' Lean" by Lil Prophet, "Battlezone" by Rapid Fire Ministries and Flud Cavion, the bumpin' "Throw Em' Off" by JayMay, Tawana's "God" and Minister RMB's "When the Storm Comes". Lil La La's song, the CD's hidden bonus track and Andre Williams's voice narration helps to round it out. Not to knock or judge, but like the previous reviewer said, I hope that they will do a better job with Volume 6.
