The Holy Land by Johnny Cash,
This review is from: The Holy Land (Audio CD)
Very good album-mostly accoustical, if you like Johnny Cash you
will love this album.

God is not Dead,
By John McCrea (Palo Alto, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Holy Land (Audio CD)
I first got my hands on this treasure as used vinyl back in the '80s. The original album cover features one of those faux 3D lenticular photographs. It shows the man in black, looking like a cardboard cutout propped up in front of a mosque. Highlights of the record include a narrative, "My Wife June At Sea of Galilee," in which June sounds heavily sedated, and "God Is Not Dead," which deserves a sub-title, "But He Must Surely Be Feeling Ill." The songs and narratives of "Holy Land" are so wooden as to seem sarcastic. No collection is complete without this travelogue from Israel.
