Great book on the Holy Spirit,

This review is from: The Holy Spirit : A Pentecostal Interpretation (Paperback)
Dr. Holdcroft does an incredible job in an academic yet very readable way of explaining the Person and work of the Holy Spirit. The work and theology of the Holy Spirit throughout church history is also examined in a very enlightening way. Chapter 10 is a particularly great chapter on the gifts of the Spirit where Holdcroft discusses the rise of Cessation doctrine. Cessationism as history and doctrine can be traced to the rise of the professional clergy at which point the church stopped being led by prophets and priest and became throttled by bishops, presbyters, and other such administrative hierarchy. A wonderful book for those who are truly hungry for more of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

The product was as advertised, and the price was definitely right. Will buy from seller again. The more recent editions begin at $53.00, how much can the Holy Ghost change? Good buy. Thanks
