Charlie Byrd is much more than a famed and significant exponent of the Brazilian song. Owner of an immense power of lyrical expression, he also shone with brilliant intensity in the classic universe. This album is a forceful evidence of what I mean. Convince by yourself and listen him. Byrd and Baden Powell were without hesitation the majuscule Ambassadors of the Brazilian guitar in the last half century. A true gem. |
