I bought this about 12 years ago when we moved into a new-to-us house. The main bathroom had nasty 30-year-old grout but I had little kids who needed a bath and no free time to regrout the tub area. I thought the Tile Whitener would be a quick fix until I could do something more permanent. I bleached the old grout (it still looked bad) and applied the Tile Whitener. The result was fresh, new color that lasted for years. I've since used it on a tile floor with similar results. Easy, great results and affordable!

Easy to apply. Whitens that yellow old grout. No clean up. Gave one to a friend. Have used in tub,, and on kitchen table. Besides whitening, I think it also helps protect.

A friend recommended this product. The first time I used it , I wasnt impressed. I was reluctant to tell him it was a bad recommendation but then finally; he asked me. I told him I wasnt happy with it and we evenutally figured out that not cleaning it first was probably why it I didnt get good results. Sure enough, I cleaned the grout thoroughly, then tried again, it it worked much better.

Yes this is a pretty labor-intensive project as the previous reviewer stated. But it is very well worth the effort. For less than $10 I did two 30 year old bathroom floors and they look like new again. It's not hard to apply at all - just time consuming, and my grout tiles were very small. The sponge applicator does get worn. However - I cut off the tip and poured the remainder into a container and applied it with a small paint brush instead. That actually helped get it into the deeper grout lines better than the sponge tip. I highly recommend this product for an inexepensive solution to updating tile without a lot of hassle. It was well worth the time it took me to complete it - which was about 6-7 hours total over 3 days to do 2 bathrooms. I have before and after photos I could send if anyone wants proof!

Once I used this once, I could not stop until all my grout was whitened. Now all of my friends are buying it and using it as fast as they can. Fantastic product

My bathroom was only 2 years old. I sealed the grout and with kids and dirt it I wanted a the grout became dark. The light gout was more dark brown and grey in the main walking area and looked like my bathroom was always dirty. Until....Homax grout cleaner...I ordered this and now have told a couple of my friends. It is easy as shoe polish and it wipes off the tile without trying. This has made me love my tile again. In now looks fresh and new again. I will continue to recommend this to my friends. It is a cheap and easy way to fix a sightly problem.

This product really does work to whiten discolored grout. It is very labor-intensive to apply, especially if your tile is small (i.e., you have lots of grout lines to cover). In my experience the whitening lasts a couple of years with light-to-normal use so it's worth the effort.

The only complaint I have is that the applicator pad tends to become worn and begins to break up before you have used up the quantity of fluid in the container.

Easy to use, may take a little time if you have alot of grout lines to cover. I used it on my bathroom floors that have pretty thick and stained grout lines. Have bleached and scraped to get stains out but that did not work. This stuff really covers the stains and does a good job. It does not look 100% like natural grout-but very close, definitely beats re-grouting. Makes the room look new again. Good product.

After using some mold and mildew remover, used this product to finish the grout and return it to a nice white color. Worked very well and would not hesitate to recommend this product.

I bought this product due to the high marks given by other Amazon users, and it did not disappoint. My 1928 Chicago bungalow has beautiful white subway tiles, and now the beautiful grout makes the whole bathroom look new. Easy to apply very low odor (that disappears), easy to wipe down.

Highly recommend this product!
