Don't hesitate to purchase this album from Kinito Mendez. It's full of the kind merengue that makes him one of the most popular merengue artists of today attracting fans of all ages. This merengue has a little of everything. It contains great beats, some faster tempos, comical lyrics and unique rhythms. This is one of my favourite albums from Kinito Mendez because of the lyrics that narrate true life stories in a humorous and unique way that only Kinito does best. There are several show stoppers tunes in this album such as: Pegue, Anja Juan, Cachamba, Grua and Que raro. Get ready to laugh because that is what this album will inspire you to do when you start dancing to this contagious merengue and if you don't understand Spanish consider buying a dictionary because you'll be missing out on the essence of this album. With merengue like this Kinito is going only in one direction... straight to the top. Enjoy...este merengue de loco!

I think some of the songs are a bit fast, I miss some slower songs. In my opinion there are no really good melodies on this CD - is it because the music is so rhythm based that there is too little room for good melodies? I do not understand Spanish well but the attitude of the songs seems positive. A different reviewer states that the lyrics are comical, however the lyrics are not included in the sleeve notes.

This music will get you dancing!!! I bought it because a friend told me how big he was in D.R.. I didn't know any of his songs when I bought it. All of the songs are great & will get your feet moving!!!

I must admit that I bought this album solely because the song "Cachamba" was on it; however, I soon discovered this was not the only good song on the album. It's a great addition to CD collections and becomes better with each listening. Many songs will make you want to blast your stereo and dance around the room in reckless abandon. If you like merengue or salsa, you're sure to enjoy Kinito Mendez. Fans of ranging from "Proyecto Uno" and "Los Ilegaes" to "Fey" and "Au-d" can find middle ground here and enjoy some "musica fabuloso"!

KINITO MENDEZ HAS EMERGED AS A TALENT WITH NO RESTRICTIONS IN HIS MUSIC. HE BEAUTIFULLY SINGS ABOUT THE DOMINICAN CULTURE AND THE NATIVES WHO LIVE THERE. LISTENING TO THIS ALBUM IS RELAXING AND TRANSFERENTIAL WHEN YOU LISTEN TO THE WORDS. THE MELODY WILL KEEP YOU MOVING YOUR FEET AT ALL TIMES. HIS VOICE IS SOOTHING AND CLEAR. THIS IS A CD THAT EVERY HOUSEHOLD SHOULD DEFINITELY HAVE.

I review this C.D and it is fabulous with a rhythym that will make you jump and get you excited and it has excellent words in the song.
