From the Publisher
At Home In Bell Buckle's 82 pages include almost 60 poems in three sections. Family deals with the poets relationships with members of her new-found family in Middle Tennessee, as well as her kin. Friendly Fires develops this theme into social commentary both on the South and on North America in general, while in the final section, Frontiers, the poet reveals her relationship with the ancient history of North America and its native cultures.
The poems display a heart-felt spirituality and love for people and for the planet. And above all, the poems are easy to read and understand.
The book is illustrated with photographs taken by Leona and her husband Richard, co-founder of the Brideswell Press.
