As a first time homebuyer, I was intimidated by all of the things that can be "wrong" with a prospective home. This book explains the essentials of everything on the extensive checklists. Definitions are given in words and pictures for everything you should inspect.This is not the only book you should read, but I strongly recommend it as part of your arsenal.
