An almost perfect blend of classic Christmas carols and performers,
By AbeStreet (Mayfield Heights, OH United States) - See all my reviews

I have this cd with the Thomas Kinkade cover and insert. The cover of the cd has Kinkade's painting "Village Christmas" with a pine green border. The cd is encased in a nice cardboard jacket with the same design. As an added bonus there is an insert of Kinkade's "Village Christmas". The album was put together back in 1981 and this is just a re-release of the album with Kinkade's painting, a message from Kinkade, and a short bio on Kinkade.
As for the album itself, it is one of the best compilation albums available. All the performers are recognizable. Some of the stand out tracks, in my opinion, are "Sleigh Ride" by Johnny Mathis with Percy Faith and his Orchestra, "Silver Bells" by Ray Conniff Singers, "Hallelujah Chorus" by The Philadelphia Orchestra, "Do You Hear What I Hear?" by Andy Williams, and "Christmas Eve in My Home Town" by Jim Nabors. This album is sure to put you in a festive Christmas mood. If you decide to purchase it do try and get the 2002 Thomas Kincade re-release of this album.

A very nice compilation by some of the classic artists.
This album was previously released in 1999 by Mervyn's department store as their Season's Greetings album, which is how I came by it. I found it here by searching for the same songs in the same order by the same artists.

I got this CD because of one song I always liked.Track 18) Home for the Holidays by Robert Goulet. The outside removable jacket is incorrectly labeled. It show track 18) Home for the Holidays by John Davidison.I must say this was much cheaper to get this CD.I thought about getting the Robert Goulet Holiday CD on Amazon which was much much more.I just wanted this one song.So I got a bargain.
