Reading Younger's book led to a deeper appreciation of the role of this beautiful temple i the matrix of Hindu society. It provides insight into the role of ritual and worship into the daily lives of Hindus and the strengths of the belief systems that are nourished by these activities. Well researched and clearly written I found that this book greatly enhanced my experiences in visiting Chidambaram.
