Brigitte A. Thompson is the President of Datamaster Accounting Services, LLC in Vermont. She is the author of several recordkeeping and tax books, and is a freelance writer whose articles have appeared nationally in print and online publications.

Brigitte is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers, Women Business Owners Network and the Vermont Tax Practitioners Association. She has been in the field of accounting & taxes since 1986. Brigite also teaches workshops on recordkeeping.

Her next book, Bookkeeping Basics for Home Daycare Providers, will be released in 2011.

I recently purchased this book, and am extremely pleased with it. It explains how to keep track of expenses to reduce taxable income in a clear and easy to understand format. It was a valuable resource while doing my taxes this year! I highly recommend The Home Daycare Complete Record Keeping System.

I WAS SO PLEASED TO BE ABLE TO FINALLY PURCHASE THIS BOOK. IT IS JUST FULL OF EVERYTHING THAT I NEED TO KNOW IN ORDER TO RUN MY DAYCARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH IRS REGULATIONS AND SAVE MONEY TO BOOT. I HAD HEARD OF THE HOME DAYCARE COMPLETE RECORDKEEPING SYSTEM FROM MY FRIEND IN CALIFORNIA. THIS BOOK REALLY GOT HER ON TRACK. IT REALLY EASY TO FOLLOW AND EVEN PROVIDES THE FORMS NEEDED. When you're in business, you don't have time to think about high level concepts -- you just want to know how to get things done. Thompson does an excellent job of giving you the information you need in a format that's easy to follow. I'd recommend this book to anyone who owns a daycare business -- Thompson is thorough in her examples and showed me several areas where I was missing potential deductions. This is a great book for daycare business owners!
