if you liked the B @ T's song...,

I noticed a lot of folks liked "Breakfast at Tiffany's", then some either liked the rest of it and some didn't. If you like that song (and it is kinda catchy), you are highly likely to like Pop Art, a band I really enjoyed in the mid-late eighties. There is a retrospective CD available, so it's not like you have to go a-hunting for old vinyl. When B@T came out, it was killing me how much it sounded like a Pop Art song. Thought I'd share that obscure gem with anyone who might be reading these reviews!

A Band with one major hit. But I would suggest to check out this band if you like good Alterative Rock bands (sounds like perhaps Weezer, R.E.M., and U2). I'm not too much into this style of music but it is listenable and enjoyable. While I'm not suggesting that this is acoustic, You may like this if you like such music. 1. Gammer Gerten's Needle - A decent song to intro the album. Worth a listen . . .85% .2. Breakfast At Tiffany's - The only true radio hit on the album. It's a decent catchy sound to it. . . .100% .3. Halo - A nice song with catchy guitar. . . . 85% .4. Josey - A tad slower song with that nice guitar and bass. . . . 90% .5. A Water Prayer - faster Paced song. Enjoyable sound to the guitar. . . . 95% .6. Done - Faster song. A tad heavy. Somewhat interesting. But I wouldn't play it to your Girlfriend lol. . . . 95% . 7. A Song To Make Love To - Fast pace song. Good to listen to. . . . 90%8. The Kandinsky Prince - Fast song that is sort of funny. It's a decent laughable song. . . . 95% .9. Home - Softer song. A possible second hit if they had released it as a single. . . . 95% .10. Red Light - Fast decent song. . . . 85% .11. I Can Wait -mostly an acoustic track thats enjoyable. . . . 85% .12. Wouldn't Change A Thing - slower song. It's a true ender. . . . 85% . . If You like this album I would suggest trying out another album by "Deep Blue Something" but other than that: Live - The Distance to here, Better Than Ezra - Deluxe, Jars of Clay -Jars of Clay, Dog's Eye View - Happy Nowhere.

Brilliant Band,

I forst saw DBS at EdgeFest in 1995, Along with Adam Ant, Letters to Cleo, Veruca Salt, POL, and someother bands. I believe that the Toadies and Nixons were there, I may be getting them mixed with other bands. Anyways, They were clearly the best band on state that day. I also have seen in concert 3 other times and their performance can compete with any other concert that I have gone to. I can honestly say that I can listen to all of their albums without skipping over any songs. Being from Dallas and also working with Clay Bergus's Mother-In-Law, I may be Biased since they are from Denton.
They are a great band and I will be one of the first in line if they ever do some type of Reunion concert P.S. There was a Special Release of "Home" that had extra songs. They did a version of "Dear Prudence" by the Beatles. The other one I cannot remember, but it was a great song
