I have a 2 yr old and he is always playing my tools. We decided to get him his own and he absolutely loves these. The only down fall is that there are only 2 battery packs for the 4 tools. Not that I got more than that with my Dewalt tools, but my 2 yr old doesn't understadn quite yet that you have to swap the battery packs to work. I was goign to see if I coudl find more battery packs to purchase seperately.

I bought this item for my 2-year old grandson's birthday. This set was the hit of the day. He loves the noises the tools make and is fascinated with the flashlight. He does need help with changing the battery packs, but that's what grandma's are for! He even wears the goggles. I would highly recommend this item; it's well constructed, durable and entertains a little one for at least an hour.

When buying a Christmas present for a 16 month old, you just never know how it is going to be received. But my grandson loves noise and motors and was fascinated by my real drill when I was using it, so I thought what the heck. This little toy kit has it all - two battery packs, a jigsaw, drill, flashligh and recipricating saw. All of the pieces move, make noise and are completely harmless. I did take the drill bits away from him as I was a little concerned at his age of him chewing on them or poking himself in the eye. But even without the bits, he constantly plays with these toys. Great value.

1/1/2014 Update: This product is still going strong. Other than the replacement of batteries, my (now two year old) grandson still goes to this as a "go to" toy, especially the drill. He is constantly telling me that he "is fixing something". It gets a lot of use and nothing has broken yet.

These tools don't have the torque I need to repair the deck or chop studs and nails when doing demolition work on the job-site.
I do, however, enjoy coming home and playing with them after work. My 18 month old boy is always grabbing them and using them on his own construction toy projects. I wish he'd just get his own and leave mine alone.
The included safety glasses fit him better than myself, so that's ok with me.

My son loves his tools! They do go through batteries rather quickly and one "battery pack" takes a 9 volt which I am not in love with this... As they are costly and not as easily found. Other then that it is a cute set and might actually last all year (my son is rough on toys ).

My daughter received this set as a Christmas gift and it was a hit! The tools are exact replicas of the real thing and even includes 2 battery packs that can be switched between the tools. The husband was impressed with the amount of replica detail, stating "my daughter has better tools than I do!" The kiddo especially liked the safety goggles. She's still a little young to play with the different blades and bits so we just took them out and stored them until she's older - they just pop out. Since receiving this tool set, she has helped Daddy with all kinds of projects around the house and even "fixed" some things he didn't know needed fixing! This is a great toy for any toddler that enjoys imitation play.

Good product. Was a hit with my grandson. Looking at other websites I found that this product was too expensive.

these are good for what they are but dont exspect them to last. They are very poorly made and break easy but toys just arent made like they were when we were kids. Fun while they last.
