We purchased this for our son, and he has a great deal of fun playing with it. There is a sturdy plastic tool box which has a tray insert. Tools include a hammer, saw, pliers and 2 screwdrivers. Also included are a couple of screws and a piece of "wood" with holes so little ones can practice with the screws and screwdrivers.

Amazingly this set walks the fine line between being safe and being durable. These items have been chewed on, thrown about, and ridden over with a bike -- but they endure. They still work and no person or object has been damaged!

Caveats: The toolbox closure (a hinge and flap) may be of a type not seen by youngsters before, but it does come off easily if you'd rather remove it altogether. Also, two smallish bolts are included; if your child is under three you may want to quietly put these aside.

My 5 year old son got this toy for Christmas and has not put it away like the rest of the Christmas toys. He has great fun going into his father's workshop and helping dad with his own tools.

The only problem I have with it is that the plastic closure broke off of the tool box less than a week after he got it and it is now difficult for him to carry it around the house to fix and create his projects. Other than that the toy is great fun for boys and girls. My 4 year old daughter also assists her brother with various projects when he needs her assistance. This toy is great fun for all.

I bought this toy for my son last week..He loves it!! He is always tryin to fix something around the house by banging on things with shoes so, I thought this would put an end to him ruinning my shoes..This toy is fun but the hammers top broke in half and the plastic around the bottom of the plyers came off..He still plays with the remaing items though, which are a saw, 2 screw drivers, nuts and bolts, a peice of wood and the tool box it comes in..I did glue the hammer back together and it hasn't come apart again..This is a good toy though..

My son loves this toy. That is why I'm buying him a new one even though his first one started breaking the second day he had it. I wish someone made a toy just like this but a durable, well-made version. I'd be happy to spend alot of money on one that would last rather than re-buying this disposable version every couple of months when my son is left with nothing but broken plastic bits.

My 3 yr-old twin sons love working like daddy with their new tool box. They love the saw (which makes a little sawing noise), they love to pound in the "nails" with the hammer, and they are learning to screw in the nails with the screw driver. The only problem is that the latches on both toolboxes broke within a day, no exaggeration. Now my kids can't carry around the tools in the box, which was one of the reasons we purchsed this particular toolbox set. I am going to have to go out and buy them new boxes, so we probably should have bought a more expensive set of tools with box in the first place.

I got this set for my 2 1/2 year old daughter. She likes the tools ok but the box latch broke on the second day. We got another set that included a measuring tape which she really likes to use.

I purchased this toy tool set for my nephew. He loved it and pretended to fix everything in the house. The pieces were a good size and he enjoyed helping his dad fix things around the house.

My son is too old for this now (he is 7) but five years ago we bought this for him and he loved playing with it. We had been on the hunt for tools that looked realistic and were pleased to find this. My son loved the fact it came in a tool box just like daddy's so he could carry it around where ever he went "fixing" things around the house. We added to this set with other Home Depot tool sets and most of the items fit into this tool box with ease. If your little boy or girl enjoys following daddy or even mommy around the house to help "fix" things then this set is perfect. My son now has the Home Depot Tool set that is the real deal and is his size which he loves.

My son love this toy. He's had it for 2 years and despite having pulled the pliers apart, the other pieces are in perfect condition. He loves the action saw. You have to maneuver the pieces so that the tool box will close but when put away correctly, I can also store a few other building toys in it also.

My son got the Home Depot Shop Vac and this Home Depot Tool Box for his birthday. The Shop Vac broke the first day and we were going to exchange it for the same thing, but then the Home Depot Tool Box broke the next day! It was then apparent that these toys are really poorly made. I can't beleive these reviews! Everyone is saying it breaks and yet they are still giving it high marks. My son is 3 and has never broken a toy in his life and both Home Depot toys broke in the first two days! I expect better than that from a toy.
