This well thought-out kit from the handiwork experts at Home Depot provides nearly everything necessary to build a log cabin style birdhouse, including pre-cut wood pieces and hardware. You will need to provide a hammer as well as a Philips screwdriver in order to complete the construction process as well as any paint you care to apply. Given that the wood is largely untreated, a nice coat of paint or stain would help give the houses eventual tenants a more dependable domicile. --Charlie Williams
