Feng Shui One Can Actually Understand,
By A Customer
This review is from: Home Design With Feng Shui A-Z (Hay House Lifestyles) (Hardcover-spiral)
I've picked up many Feng Shui books in the past and they have only confused me. Guess I needed this a-z guide with actual instructions and tips spelled out clearly. And although it is set up alphabetically, a great read from start to finish as well. I really appreciated the simplicity of it. Turn to B for Bedrooms for example and see that you need to get the exercise equipment out of there and it clearly tells you why. Check out the section on mirrors, they can remedy almost any situation.

Best Guide for the Beginner,

I am a Feng Shui Pracitioner and found this book for a gift for a friend interested in the knowing more about the art of placement. This is very understandable and she had no difficulty apply the concepts. This book was written in "layman's" terms, without talking above the readers head. I would HIGHLY RECCOMMEND this book for someone just wanting to know what it's all about without becoming the owner of hundreds of books and then possibly still not understanding the concept. Also, I would recommend that those interested in it would follow one author which would mean following one school of thought at the same time. Different authors with different FS backgrounds can be highly confusing and possibly cause you more harm than good when utilizing FS cures. Also only incorporate a few "cures" at a time - remember the say "too much of a good thing"? Well that applies in FS as well. You can become seriously ill by incorporating too much too soon. Good luck to all.

A good friend recently gave me a lovely gift, HOME DESIGN WITH FENG SHUI A-Z by Terah Kathryn Collins . . . it hit me at just the right moment because I've recently been giving a lot of thought about how to simplify not only my life, but also my home environment. Feng Shui (pronounced FUNG SHWAY), meaning "Wind and This excellent book succinctly shows how any room can One of the quickest ways to calm a bedroom down (along with its Do you believe in yourself? Really cute book!,

This review is from: Home Design with Feng Shui A-Z (A--Z Books) (Paperback)
If I were going to rate this book only on looks, I would have given it a 5 because it's so pretty. This is a very cute, short and basic little book. It has great color, great art and it's a very light read. This would be great for someone who is just getting into Feng Shui. Overall I think this is a great book if; 1) You want a nice "happy" feel-good book to inspire you 2) You want a cute, trendy coffee table book 3) You have kids or teenagers who want to learn about Feng Shui 4) You want a short book to take on a plane 5) You are apartment hunting and want a quick referance guide...However, if you are looking to give your life an overhaul or you are wanting to learn advanced Feng Shui this might NOT be the book for you. I think this is a great gift, a great coffee table book and basically a "fun" book that I'll keep in my collection.

Well laid out, well written guide about basic Feng Shui. If you are just getting into Feng Shui, and just want to know what to do within (and outside) your home or office to enhance Ch'i, this is a must read.

Simplicity at it's best...,
This review is from: Home Design With Feng Shui A-Z (Hay House Lifestyles) (Hardcover-spiral)
Have a lot going on in your life? Feel like your pushed for time? Does the thought of opening up a book chock full of unfamiliar territory make you shiver - or conversely, do you get frustrated wanting the author to 'cut to the chase' already? If your mind is already full of clutter and you just want the simple basics about feng shui - this is the book you want. It's pleasant, warm, quick and informative without bogging you down. A very simple, pleasant way to learn the basics of feng shui. It's the "Baby Bear" book of feng shui; Mama bear's book was too hot. Papa bear's book was too cold. But Baby bear's book was juuuuust right!

I like it a lot. It was easy to read and great for beginners to Feng Shui. You can't miss with it. We're buying our first home and I'm looking forward to using it. It doesn't dictate to the reader, it gives you suggestions.

I picked this book up, knowing somewhat of Feng Shui but not an expert. I had to buy it because it's easy to understand and has lots of useful information. I did not know about hanging crytals in your hallway until now. Some things I had a clue on by simply knowing what is best for my energy and environment but this book helps outline things to make you see them better than most Feng Shui books I've read.
