A very useful book,
By Leon Kania (Wasilla, Alaska USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Home Distillation Handbook (Paperback)
For anyone interested in home distilling Ola's book has enlightening information and illustrations of modern state-of-the-art home stills. It also has much practical information on charcoal filtration of home distilled spirits.

A bit too basic,
By MG Douglas (Seattle, WA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Home Distillation Handbook (Paperback)
If you know little to nothing of fermentation and distillation, this book may be considered informative. It is a basic overview of the distillation process and equipment; a bit too basic. The processes are explained in such generic and simplistic terms, that it reads more like an opening lecture in distilling 101, not a manual for practical distilling. If what you seek is a casual understanding of alcohol distillation, this book is for you. If you want a companion text for practical distilling applications, The Home Distillation Handbook will be a disappointment.

its a commercial not a book,
This review is from: Home Distillation Handbook (Paperback)
Any book has some information that is valuable. This one does but mostly pushes products and ideas by gert strand in sweeden. I have about a dozen books on brewing and making moonshine. This is the only one that i am sorru i wasted my money on.
