Important for solidiers, vets and families,

This review is from: Home Front: The Government's War on Soldiers : A Report on How America's Weapons, Medicines, and Bureaucracies of Mass Destruction Harm our Troops and Veterans (Paperback)
This is not a Bush-bashing book but a government-bashing book (White House, Congress, name any year) and deservedly so. It's a timly and telling reminder of how we - our leaders - treat our troops on the war and home fronts. We've all heard about it - here are the sad and gory details.

I heard the author interviewed on New York radio, where the host said every school kid in America should read this book. I agree. Don't sign that oath until you read what we really do to some of our soliders and vets.

"War on Soldiers" is an understatement,

This book both disgusted and enraged me. Everyone who waves the flag and shouts "Support the Troops" should read this book to learn how our government abuses these men and women and then breaks the most basic promises of support it made to them. It's like a laundry list of hypocrisy!

This book was excerpted in Seattle Weekly - it's amazing what we do to our troops: one guy risked his life so the soldiers in his unit could get paid!

After reading through Amazon's Look Inside, I ordered this book. What is reported here is what happened to many of my Army brothers - and I hope doesn't happen to others in Iraq today. But I fear the worst.
