4.0 out of 5 stars The antidote to PR saccharin!, September 9, 2006

This review is from: Home Games: Two Baseball Wives Speak Out (Hardcover)
Excellent for bringing a more well-rounded perspective into the life of athletes generally and baseball specifically. This book tears the veneer off saccharine writeups and official PR materials. Bobbie Bouton and Nancy Marshall describe the unimaginable hardships and demands of supporting their husbands' baseball careers, and the thanks they got from their churlish spouses at the end. Heartily recommended for starry-eyed women!
