Like most I would imagine, I picked this book up due to its connection to the film `Home for the Holidays.' Though the book and story the film is based on bare little resemblance to the film itself, it is still a highly enjoyable read.
Radant narrates for us on a journey of non-linear biographical stories that span her lifetime. Her dry self deprecating down to earth sense of humor mixes well with the comedy and tragedy of life that any one of us can relate to. I found myself laughing out loud and even tearing up at moments in this entertaining, though unfortunately small collection of stories.
Unconventional, sarcastic and witty, Radant is the type of individual I'd like to know in person, and thanks to this small glimpse into her life I feel I do, if even just a little.
