Book Description

Four brothers. Three mistakes. This time, Beth’s determined to stay out of trouble.
Beth Gibson has a bad history with Canning boys, even though no-one ever believed none of it was her fault.
So when the hottest of them all gets snowed in at her place on Christmas Eve, somehow she knows it’s going to end badly. After all, Jimmy Canning knows all her sins. And he still remembers her as reckless Lizzie.
Can Beth show him that she’s not that kind of girl anymore? And does she even want to?

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and sexy short story. December 6, 2013
By Fiona
Format:Kindle Edition
I was a bit nervous about this one because the blurb sort of gives an impression about the heroine, Lizzy/Beth that I wasn't sure I would like. However it wasn't like that at all and I loved the heroine with her struggle to be the sensible Beth person, not always caught up in scrapes and being humiliated in front of the whole town of Glory in her Lizzy persona (not a very big town in any case).

Jim is just an adorable big guy who mucked up in his youth but has made good in spite of the bad start. He is just yummy. I may have to stop this here. Suffice to say he is an excellent hero. He and Lizzy had a moment back just before her whole life went belly up and she fled town for 12 years. Now she is back to clean up her father's estate and Jim gets stuck while snowploughing her road.

Propinquity is a wonderful thing and when they start talking, we get a whole other view of what happened all those years ago.

This is really a very sweet read despite the sizzling smexy. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will mention that only 61% of the book is this short story and the rest are previews of the authors other work. Also worth reading if you haven't.

4.0 out of 5 stars Too short, otherwise this would be 5 stars January 4, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I just wish this story had been longer. It was adorable. I loved both of the characters and I loved the author's style. She really should offer this for free as it is so short and would be a good intro to her work. I know I want to read more from this author.
