Very nice looking mailbox and a good value for the price.
Couple things I wish were different:
-You could leave it unlocked; the design requires you use a key.
-The door was on the front or something. It is on the right as you look at it--I didnt think about that and had to mount it on the right side of my door, so you have to walk all the way out of your door to access it in that case.
-The slot was larger. I got this as my mailman doesnt seem to take much effort in getting my mail to me--but since the slot isnt gaping wide, thing are still sloppily haning out--the slot is about 1", so something like a checkbox wouldnt fit through.
-the back mount was sturdier; it is simply cut holes in the brass for the screws so mounting it is flimsy and you may need to create some sort of brace for it to hold it well.

All in all, the look is great (vintage to turn of century homes) and the function is fine especially considering the great price. It is a very large mailbox as well!

The brass old style mailbox is very attractive and sturdy for $29.99. When making my purchase for the mailbox I did not look at the detail of it. I purchased it because it is gold, when it arrived the style was far more than what I was expecting. This mailbox will enhance the ambiance of any home.

Nice mailbox, but keys don't work real well. You also are not able to remove key from box unless it is locked-kind of a pain. Otherwise quality nice and mail stays dry.

It is a very nice mailbox, made mostly of brass? sheet metal. That is the only reason I give it 4 stars is that the sheet metal is a little thin. I would have prefferred something a bit more substantial. The letter slot that holds the outgoing mail is very nice and made of heavy solid brass. For the price I am very happy and it looks very nice and is functions great. I would recommend unless you are looking for solid cast brass and not sheet metal.

The door on the side can be opened without the key. It is just made of VERY thin medal that can be easily manipulated. I don't even use the key anymore, since it is so easy to open without it. One problem that I did not anticipate is the mail slot is so narrow, larger items (magazines, etc.) can't fit.

My mailman puts the mail in just like the photo shows. Wish I could train him to put it INSIDE the box, the reason I bought it!

Mailbox is beautiful for the price. Installtion was pretty simple. It did add a beautiful look to my home. For the price, I would recommend it anyone who is looking for an elegant old style mailbox at a good price.

It's a beautiful mailbox makes a statement. I just wish it came with the screws to attach it to the wall, that's been a hassle but for the price paid it's ok.

Great locking mailbox. I wish there were options to have the door on the other side, but we made it work. Adequate for everyday mail, magazines do not fit well. They tend to stick out the door, and if it is raining this is the only time the contents get wet. The mail slot door is heavy and magnetized, keeps 2 (thats the most I've tried) out-going letters front and center for your carrier. Locked door seems thin, I would have liked it to be heavier gauge metal or better framed edge.
