It is very possible that Amazon did not know that the age of the product was misrepresented. Publishers provide the information about their materials.
Now, you may find it acceptable that the content is 14 years old. Some home improvement options may not have changed significantly since 1998. But for myself, with the changes in the housing market and the economy and houses in the past 14 years, I will be returning this book and buying something more current.
It is a shame. I used to like the For Dummies series. Now, I am more suspicious. I AM keeping "Home Maintenance for Dummies" (2010, 2nd ed.).
Covers various areas of home improvement.
Not extremely detailed to master anything.
Breaks down the basics.
Great for first time homeowners.
