A great read, very funny, October 27, 1999

I really enjoyed this book. It's very funny, and the dog is so cute. I'd never heard of the author but I liked another one of these Laughter books. A friend told me about Barbara Daly. I really enjoyed this book. Lots of laughs.

A fun frolick in Vermont, February 10, 1999
This review is from: Home Improvement (Love and Laughter # 60) (Paperback)
Such a pleasure to read. Story moves right along like a scenic trip down a country road. Love the characters, the dog, the renovation, the antiquing. It's nice to read a book where the hero's relatives are supportive, loving and (almost) normal. It was a hoot!

Engaging characters and a laugh every minute., February 5, 1999

I loved it, loved it! Sunny, the heroine, was someone I could relate to - bright, sassy, and independent. Colin was just the man to match her wit and turn her neat, organized world upside down. The author did an excellent job with characterization, bringing the characters to life in such a manner that I felt like they were my next door neighbors. I also enjoyed meeting Colin's family and laughed myself crazy at their antics and matchmaking. As a dog lover, I also fell in love with Sunny's dog Babe. This is a must read for fans of the Love & Laughter series.

Love Improvement, January 20, 2005
This review is from: Home Improvement (Love and Laughter # 60) (Paperback)
Back cover reads:
Life as she knew it was over...
Losing her ex-husband was painless--except for the legal fees--but the apartment...! Sunny O'Brien, the original Cosmo girl, moving to a cabin in Vermont?
Not likely! She'd pack up the dog, head out into the wilderness and find herself a big, brawny, capable country boy to help her out of this mess. She'd sweet-talk him into fixing up the cabin, sell it for a hefty profit and hightail it back to New York.
The only fly in the ointment was Colin Blalock, the big, brawny, capable contractor who refused to recognize the urgency of her situation. He wanted to take his time. Do things right. And after a while, Sunny decided she liked that quality in a man...especially this one.

Great characterizations (especially the dog!) and so well written. Smart and funny and a real pleasure to read - I'm going to be on the lookout for more by Barbara Daly.

Sinceramente , não recomendo ! A leitura é maçante , os persongens são deslocados ... enfim! mesmo assim , quem quizer conferir , no Brasil chama-se 'Precisa-se de reparos ' e foi lançado pela Nova Cultural.
